Amazing experience!!!

I went on a cruise to the Caribbean with my wife and 2 children (15 & 12) to celebrate my 60th birthday. This was our first experience on a cruise and was amazing. Everything was smooth and relaxed, starting by the embarkation and finishing by the disembarkation. All staff was great, very friendly and helpful specially our waiters Conrado and Soumen. Food was excellent quality and diversity. Pizza at Sorrento delicious, mexican in the Loco fresh, buffet at Windjammer amazing, dinners at dining room delicious and the entertainment brilliant. Don't miss Aqua 80. Plenty of things to do on your own, with your wife and the whole family. The children loved the freedom to wonder around the ship, the basketball court and the big slides. Definitely will go on a cruise again, maybe a Mediterranean one. I highly recommend Royal Caribbean International Oasis of the Seas 6 NIGHT WESTERN CARIBBEAN & PERFECT DAY ON COCO CAY Cheers!

Wonderful Service on the Oasis of the Seas

We are seasoned cruisers- We have sailed on 55 ships- mostly Celebrity and Royal. This was our 4th Oasis cruise. Outstanding, is the level of service we received. We were in a crown loft suite, and while only my husband and I sailed we enjoy the extra space, two levels and two bathrooms. Our cabin was cleaned twice a day by Mr. T and his assistant. The cabin while nice, is getting tired. Needs to be renovated-new carpet and furniture would be appropriate as for a crown loft suite needs refurbishing. We dined in Coastal Kitchen mostly. Marigold our waitress was super- anticipating exactly what we wanted. My only negative statement is that the lunch and dinner menu didn't vary much and was very repetitive. We also dined in Chops 2 x , which was good-but not a NY steak house quality- but good. We also enjoyed 150 central park and govannis one day for lunch. Not a fan of sushi and didn't like the hibachi on our last cruise. Embarkation was a breeze- we arrived at the terminal around 10:45 and practically immediately boarded the ship. Our suite wasn't available until 1:00, so we took our carry-on's with us to lunch at the costal kitchen. The entertainment was very good, except CATS. This show has been on the Oasis for years, and the first time we saw it- walked out- so we didn't bother seeing it again. The other shows were very good- we especially enjoyed the adult comedy and would have enjoyed seeing other adult comedy other nights. We enjoyed cococay and went to the beach club, adults only. The pool is heated and the "junk food" good. Plenty of seating- but if you want shade- come early. We also enjoyed our time at Labadee. However many people got stung by jellyfish- perhaps it is the time of year. We definately preferred our time at cococay. Since we have been to Jamaica many times before- we didn't do any excursions. We walked around the pier- enjoyed window shopping and made some purchases. Sea days we enjoyed a shady spot on the suite sun deck. We were so happy that Royal has reinstated luggage valet service and had our luggage waiting for us at the NY airport. Unfortunately, we had a 3:00 flight home, which was late. We spent too much time at the airport. So glad we had access to the Delta Lounge. We booked another cruise with the next cruise agent We booked a celebrity cruise on the Xcel- for next January- we also booked an August cruise on our last Symphony of the Seas Royal on the Celebrity. Beyond. We definately will be on another Oasis class ship in the Future- Since it was intersession the ship was loaded with kids- we didn't have any grandkids with us this cruise. So the ship was crowded.

Oasis of the Seas Does NOT Disappoint!

This is our second time sailing on Oasis; our first time was in 2010 when our two kids were young teenagers. They joined us with their significant others and our two friends this time. I was pleasantly surprised that the Oasis is just as pretty as she was 15 years ago. We had balcony cabins that were roomy and contained charming amenities. To be candid, we were rarely in our cabins except to change clothes, shower, and sleep, although it was nice to sit outside for a few minutes and absorb the peace, tranquility, and views as we each waited for the other to shower/change. We ate breakfast and lunch at the Windjammer cafe and in the Solarium. The food varied and was tasty. For dinner, we ate in the MDR. Again, the food was good. The service was good, except for one night when it was prolonged. I don't know what caused the delay in food service. It could have been something stemming from the kitchen or a staff shortage (due to illness during the sailing). We ate at Chops one night, and they accommodated our eight-person party. The service, food, and ambiance were exceptional. We were seated outside under a glass canopy. It rained throughout our dinner, but we were kept dry, which made the evening perfect! We also ate at the hibachi grill - Izumi. The food was delicious and abundant - none of us could finish our dinner. Again, they accommodated a large party. The entertainment, something RCCL is known for, did not disappoint. I HIGHLY recommend the Aquashow. The show was based on 80s music - it's not my favorite genre, but how they combined the songs with the dancers and acrobats made for a magical and entertaining experience. The divers and acrobats were highly talented! Our group agreed that we did not want the hour-long show to end. We also saw "Cats." Our reservations were made approximately 3-4 weeks before the cruise. The show was of Broadway quality, and we truly enjoyed it. Our last day was spent at Coco Cay. Honestly, I did not have high expectations of visiting a "private" island owned by RCCL. I thought it would be gimmicky. Boy, I couldn't have been more wrong. We reserved a cabana at Hideaway Beach. We were catered to by Irene, who brought us all the food and drinks we wanted. The cabana had a shower, sink, and mini fridge stocked with alcohol and sodas. We hooked up one of our phones and had our playlist playing throughout the day. The cabana included an infinity pool connecting the other eight cabanas (see photo below). It was truly exceptional. Unlike anything we have ever done, this was an over-the-top splurge for us. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but we never regretted spending the money on this experience. Despite having two RCCL ships at the port that day, I was surprised to see Hideaway Beach was nearly empty for those wanting to escape kids and crowds. There were plenty of loungers with large umbrellas for shade. To put it in perspective, I have sailed on five different cruise lines. RCCL is still my favorite, and Oasis does not disappoint!
