Best cruise for parents

Review from my Mom This was my first cruise experience, and I will always remember it as one of the best journeys of my life. Even though I do not speak English fluently, the ship staff on Ambience by Ambassador Cruise Line made me feel right at home. There were wonderful crew members who spoke Hindi and Gujarati, which made everything so easy and comfortable for me. A special thanks to Miss Shubhangi Jadhav and Miss Mansi Bandre. As a diabetic, I have specific food needs, and they made sure that I always had simple and healthy Indian meals like dal, rice, salad, and more. Their kindness, patience, and dedication touched my heart. Every staff member on the ship was polite, caring, and extremely helpful. Even when the sea was rough, the crew made sure we were safe and comfortable. The excursions at every port were well-arranged, and the guides were very friendly and informative. Thank you to the entire team for such a beautiful and unforgettable experience. They were on the 17-night Norway cruise from 20th March to 6th April 2025, and everything—from the service to the excursions—was beyond expectations. I highly recommend this cruise line to any Indian family thinking about a holiday at sea, especially if you are sending elderly parents. The ship is elderly-friendly, diabetic-friendly, and has a crew that truly cares. My parents are now booked for the 33-night cruise starting 5th May, and we are looking forward to it already. First cruise with Ambassador

First time with Ambassador cruises, I must write that everything was excellent, from embarkation, which was quick and easy, on board in 5mins. The restaurants and food were all fantastic with so much choice, we tended to go for breakfast in the main restaurant and have dinner in the Borough Market at a time that suited us better, it was the same food as in the main restaurant. The entertainment team were all great, led by Adam, but special mention must go to William, Will, Shalei & Emma who really made the cruise for us, from quizzes, to bingo, to gameshows to plays on stage and dancing in the Observatory late at night. We did plenty of trips, with the hi-light being the dog carting in Alta, and the Arctic train ride in Narvik. Our only complaint and it was only one was the trip to see the Northern lights in Alta, not because it rained and we did not see them as it is not guaranteed but it cost £250 a couple which we felt was a bit extortionate, otherwise the cruise was excellent, and Norway is a beautiful country. We were very impressed with all the staff who worked extremely hard so all the guests could enjoy themselves, special mention also to our cabin person Andy, who was efficient and helpful. We have already booked another cruise for next year and cannot wait to come back

Excellent service onboard ship.

First time with Ambassador and was really impressed. The menu in the Holyrood restaurant was very good, food delicious and service excellent. The self service area was very busy at time, I liked the food choices. Plenty of activities if you wanted to join in. Staff were amazing in all areas of the ship. We had a suite, some good benefits. Evening restaurant, canapés, lovely balcony. The suite size was worth the extra money. Extra time to vacate cabin on morning of departure. This is the smallest ship we have cruised on, very easy to get around. We had lectures the vikings which were very interesting. Hope to be back onboard soon, different destination would be nice. It was very wet when we visited the fiords although was classed as a summer cruise. Pool deck was under used because of the weather. The waterfalls are amazing to see, the power of the water. You do have to see it in action.

First time cruisers would go again in a flash!

Family of 7 older adults with our 84 yr old mum whose last main tick on her Bucket List was to see the Norwegian Fjords. From Boarding to disembarkation we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we had very few complaints. OK, if you were there to be picky the air con wasn't very controllable and a little cold at times, but overall we would still rate this a 5 star trip of a lifetime. Food excellent in both main restaurants, entertainment absolutely outstanding! Our cabins were kept clean and ALL staff were friendly and approachable. Obviously the views and trips on this particular cruise were simply incredible and we were glad that we had paid the extra for Balcony Cabins. The ship (Ambiance) felt like a very friendly, well oiled machine. It was just the right size for first time cruisers and we would choose to cruise with Ambassador again in a flash.
