Miami • Key West • Bimini
Fantastic Getaway! We did a small upgrade on our cabin which was beautiful and gave us a smidge bigger bathroom & storage space. The restaurants are all delicious & the ship had GREAT entertainment -my favorite was the Miss Behave show & the A cappella group “The Magnets” & it’s a ship show (dinner show). We rented a golf cart in Key West Florida to tour the island and sample all the key lime pie - *Kermit’s & *Key Lime Pie Co. were our top picks! I highly recommend going straight to south point if you want that pic, to beat the rush. The highlight of the trip was our off shore adventure in Bimini, Bahamas - we did the Sapona shipwreck & shark snorkeling (20-30 reef sharks)! Bimini has beautiful tranquil waters and the Beach club does not disappoint, it is a great last day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Don’t forget Red for Scarlet Night and pajamas for the PJ party both were a blast!

I Had the Time of My Life!
This was our first cruise as a family, and we had such an incredible time, that my husband and I (and our kids) did not want to leave. I couldn't believe how seamless and well-organized everything was. Boarding, excursions, daily itinerary, and disembarking - everything ran like a well-oiled machine. We could not have asked for a better Room Attendant. Sidik went above and beyond, and honestly, by the end of our cruise, he felt more like extended family. The entertainment was... so far beyond my expectations. I could not believe the caliber talent, not to mention the quality of the shows. I told my mom the minute I got back that she wouldn't have believed it. It was quite literally like watching Broadway at sea - and I've seen two (actual) Broadway shows. The food was consistently delicious, the crew treated us like they had known us our entire lives. They were fun, kind, and always put safety first. We met the Captain multiple times. He made it a point to talk to as many people as possible, each day. Our Cruise Director, James Love, was absolutely everywhere, all the time. I'm pretty sure he doesn't sleep! He was so fun and engaging and really made the cruise entertaining and each day an absolute blast! The excursions were just amazing! We could not have asked for a better vacation. The first thing my 15-year-old and 9-year-old asked my husband and I when we got to the car: "When can we do this again?!" We are so pleased with our time on the Sunshine and in the Bahamas, and are already planning our next cruise with Carnival. If you're thinking about cruising - do it!

Best Girls Trip
A perfect girls trip. I enjoyed all tha Carnival Sunshine had to offer us. We were greeted withe excitement and enthusiasm. The cruise director kept us busy al day and night. The food was just right. Something for every oallet. I tried new things and was satisfied with the wuality and quantity. I explored the shops and everything was reasonably priced and goid quality. The maintenance staff was always busy keeping everything clean and sanitary. Guest services was aways ready to answer our questions at all times. One night was a rough ride on the sea and i needed help with motion sickness. The medicine was provided without hesitation. The staff was excellent, K our room attendant kept everything clean. The food staff fantastic, Mega, Henry, Ryadi all were great. The chef was amazing. The entertainment was exhilarating. The room was comfortable and spacious. Each port was a great experience.

Aqua Nera was Amazing!
Amazing. Unique. Breathtaking! To preface, we front loaded our trip with a few days in the Andes to hit MP, other ruins, and those things. That part was amazing as well, but not to this part. We were picked up at the DT in Iquitos about 2pm and taken to “Our House” for lunch where we were able to meet 2 others on our boat. After that, Vladi, took us on a little Iquitos tour for about an hour showing us the local markets and a breathtaking view from atop a hotel that showed an area that was under water (yet in low water season is like farmland). Then off to the boat. We arrived at the small port and were welcomed by the crew with a fruit drink. We then went to the lounge on Deck 3 for a briefing, room assignments and a little intro to what to expect during the trip. We had 20 passengers on the boat so it was so unique to have such a small group. Each afternoon the naturalists (Alex, vladi, or Billy) will do a rundown of what to expect the next day. They also post the itinerary in 3 spots so just take a pic of it and then you have it handy. Food — Chef Andres is someone we wanted to take home. Such a humble guy with a creative flare that I’ve never seen until this trip. Such a unique blend of food themes and all was excellent. For breakfast 2 days we had a gourmet buffet style in the small dining room and 1 day we had a picnic breakfast on the skiffs. All of it was so good and in the restaurant they would make you omelets, eggs, or eggs Benedict. The quinoa granola is to die for. Excursions — Don’t miss any of these. Alex, Vladi, and Billy take you out on the skiffs and there’s not really a way to describe it except you have to be there. You will swap guides each time out so you get a mix of all their styles. All 3 are from that area and have a special touch with people. *Vladi sings and plays the guitar too. From seeing sloths to pulling Caimans right out of the water, to swimming in a tributary to the Amazon, to piranha fishing. All of our activities were so much fun. They time them just right from a length standpoint before heading back tot he boat to eat lunch and relax. We had an early morning or two and also a nighttime excursion. All awesome. one evening we got to go into a jungle village and visit with the locals. Amazing to see how they live and just how life can be when it’s so simple. Eric the Cruise Director, made sure everything went as planned. Service was beyond excellent all the way around. If you think you get good service on a big ship, wait until you sail the AN and you’ll see even better. We cannot wait to do another trip with Aqua Expeditions. A few tidbits — -Have Soles. During the village time and also on some other excursions villagers will come up in their boats. It’s fun to buy from the locals and some will take USD, but it’s easier with Soles and easier on them. No English was spoken in the village we visited. —Bug spray — You will need it —Probiotics - If your aren’t taking these already, go ahead and start a regimen before your trip. You will be eating food that you don’t usually eat and it will help with any discomfort so you can over-eat like you should on vacation. —Rooms- you can make the rooms about as cold as you want to and they are quite large compared to other type ships -close the bathroom doors while showering so the steam doesn’t set off the smoke detector. Water pressure is amazing. —Plunge Pool — The water is cold. It may be warmer during their summer months, but doubtful. We got in once, but it was a tad chilly We are already looking at when we can book again. Since we have done high water, we will likely go in low water season next time just to see the differences. The difference in river levels is over 25 feet so we are interested to see it low. Our only regret is that we wish we had done the 4 night instead of 3.
