8 Nights Mexican Riviera from Long Beach Cruise

Surprising spring break.

We live in NC but love the port of Long Beach ease. Also we found best pricing for family of 7 with 3 cabins. Two cabins with 1 adult and 7 and 8 year old, next cabin 1 adult with 17 and 6 year old in Family Harbor deck 2. I took a lido deck alone. They loved the family harbor cabin with bunk bed. There is a lounge supposedly for Family harbor cabins only. It has continental breakfast foods, juices, water, tea , coffee snacks. Living room set up on 2 sides with tv. Screens with games like Minecraft. Children were allowed to not clean up after themselves and mothers would enter in bathing suits that aren’t allowed in Lido buffet area. The only real lines were for pizza, or guys. A man without cabin entry key pried the door one day and brought his family in. I bussed tables one day removing empty coffee cups and cereal bowls. Older teens would stay on the games and not allow smaller kids to play. Carnival staff appeared afraid to inform family harbor people of the rules. Lido deck didn’t seem overly crowded. We are able to find seats together every day including sea days. There were some deck chairs saved, but most people were considerate. The back lido deck near pizza had 2 hot tubs that children took over daily daytimes. One tub went out of service for a few hours daily. I never had to wait long for food or a drink. There is a curfew of 1 am for under 17 to be with adult or in camp activities. We missed the platinum party as it was early in the cruise. Tenders were well managed in Cabo. We only had to wait one day. Embarking and disembarking were easy at this port, but there was about 45 minute delay returning. Library is gorgeous with games and books available but Art gallery takes it over numerous days. Guest services was helpful to us retrieving delayed luggage from Cabo airport after the airline delayed it beyond our departure time from Long Beach. My stateroom steward and team were nice and efficient. The dining room was efficient at dinner, not so much at breakfast. The captain and crew were approachable during the first formal night. We didn’t have formal clothing because luggage came Wednesday. The cruise director was all over the ship. I can’t wait to sail again on this gorgeous ship.

We had a lot of fun during our stay! It was truly a new and memorable experience for me and my family. From the moment we arrived, the staff were all very accommodating, friendly, and helpful, making sure that we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our visit. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed to enjoy our time. There were plenty of activities to do, and we loved every moment of it — from relaxing moments to exciting adventures. The atmosphere was very family-friendly, which made the trip even more special for us. We also appreciated the attention to detail and how the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The Cruise Experience Coming From A High Schooler

Although I am only 16, I found the need to write a review to express how this trip changed me as a person. The rooms were always clean, the food was good (and fancy), and there was always plenty of entertainment. While honestly everything I did on the cruise was really really fun, I can’t help but feel like the absolute best part of the cruise was the people. The other people on it with you were great and also super friendly (I mean ur on a cruise who’s gonna be upset or uptight??) but I’m mostly talking abt the crew. Everyone was so kind and friendly. But I can’t help but emphasize how genuine the whole vibe was. After another year in high school it feels like no one cares abt you but this cruise proved otherwise. I’ve never been so touched by the care that these people express, and I can’t imagine what kind of work they put into it all. On top of physical labor of keeping the ship running, they also give so much mental energy to keeping everyone happy and satisfied and I’m honestly astonished by it. It sounds cheesy but I’m pretty sure this cruise changed me as a person, for the better. I heard this quote once, “you ever just look at someone and feel so proud of them? Not based on their achievements, but genuinely because of how beautiful their soul is?”. That’s exactly how I felt abt the people I met on the crew. Shoutout to David our housekeeper who was always kind and had a smile in his face, to our dining crew Richard and Haykel who I felt most touched by their kindness (being an artist I’d even drew them and gave it to them with a thank you note to express my gratitude, which was met with even more genuine kindness). Joel who sang at the dinner “showtime” he was literally so chill and such a great singer and while singing he was smiling the whole time and idk how to put this but it made me so so happy to see someone so genuinely happy, naturally the crowd went wild and I had him sign my arm afterword. Although I never met our cruise director I always enjoyed hearing him on the daily announcements as he made everyone feel welcome and provided for. What I mean by this cruise changing me is I just felt so so happy and extremely grateful to have even had the chance to meet these wonderful people. Not only are they severely under appreciated but it just feels so good to meet someone so genuine and caring. Throughout the entire cruise I found myself so happy at the sight of so many happy people, and u better expect this to be rare coming from a high schooler. So thank you so much, especially to the crew for the love and kindness and effort you put it, you have NO idea the favor you have done for me. :)
