7 Nights Alaska Hubbard Glacier Cruise

Alaska trip on Celebrity Solstice cruise.

Me and my husband had a great time with our Alaska trip. We love the view on the Alaskan Glaciers. The staff on this Celebrity Solstice are very nice and the foods are yummy. Our cabin is beautiful as well and it's always çlean, Oki is our cleaner. We have some problem in our wifi service but the IT staff are so nice to help us resolve the issues especially Ritchelle the IT guy and all the Filipino ITs. The Ocean View staff are very friendly and nice: Rachelle, Chisel, Alvin, Roderick, Daisy, Angela, Jerik, Angelus, Bernard, Sheena, Elaine, and Oliver. They always have smiles on their faces while doing their jobs. The cruises activities are awesome as well, we enjoyed all the shows that we watched. We will cherished all those wonderful times we had at the Celebrity Solstice. My husband celebrated his 67th birthday in the cruise and the staff give him cake and sing a Happy Birthday to him, that's so nice. Thank you all for the great time .

Attend the naturalist talks, they were excellent.

Tip - take advantage of free fitness classes where availble & try to arrive 10 min early as they are popular. Great crowd control on our sold out cruise, there were minimal crowd crushes (except at the buffet) Tip - WAIT your turn at the buffet, it's not really that hard! Tip - for Ketchikan check out South East Exposure excurions, much cheaper than the ships choices and they were excellent about pick up & timely drop off! Tip- use room service for your breakfast, the buffetis busy. Or take the time to go to the quieter MDR or Spa cafe. Tip - bring extra cozy blankets, this was a deal breaker for us, we enjoyed being out doors but still beng warm! We had an excellent time & will recomend Celebrity & Alaska! We were also happy with the lack of high pressure sales pitches. Plenty to do aboard as well, but we were also very happy to see plenty of open spaces to chill almost everywhere too.

Just right

We sailed with our kids ages 14 and 8 and our family of four had a fantastic time on this cruise. We loved the specialty restaurants, the staff, the entertainment and the ports. My 8 year old found the kids club to be FANTASTIC ( better than on Royal or Princess). Yes the staterooms are dated and in need of updating but everything else about the ship was so great we looked beyond the dated carpet and balcony. The food in the MDR was just okay but we loved the Petit Chef and Murano. The staff is very service oriented. Shout out to Mayvon who took great care of us. The ship is perfect size - lots to do but not overwhelming. As far as excursions, the overnight stay in a hotel and dinner show at the MO in Bangkok was the highlight of the trip. Celebrity is now our preferred cruise line!
