Celestyal Journey
The Celestyal Journey holds true to what we know works well for our guests. We’ve never been fans of big is best, and the Celestyal Journey continues our philosophy that mid-sized ships are the perfect way to discover the incredible experiences this special region has to offer by visiting all the amazing destinations that the larger vessels can’t.
We’re in love with our new ship and we can’t wait for you to fall in love with her too. Sign up now for more news as we approach the grand unveiling where we hope you’ll be among the first to set sail with us.
The Celestyal Journey will open its fabulous doors just in time to catch the late summer sun and will include: 149 Balconies – over 28 magical Suites – 120 Junior Suites – and a stunning Penthouse Suite to journey in style. There will be a far bigger range of dining options, featuring 7 separate venues – with an amazing Chef’s Table – and 8 themed bars where we’ll expand our range of beverages, including our exclusive Signature Cocktails.

Awesome cruise, mainly due to the great service.
The service and dining was incredible. Francis and Angel in particular repeatedly served us at Thallassa (I'm leaving this review a few weeks late so forgive any misspellings and other such mistakes). They were AMAZING servers, they were so kind and funny and they picked up on all our quirks quickly. For example, we love olive oil with our bread instead of butter, and after asking them for it one night they automatically started bringing us olive oil for the rest of the dinners we had! All around just awesome awesome faces to see every night :) I'm beating myself up right now because I can't remember the name of the woman who kindly cleaned up our cabin for us—I think it was Iryna? Something close to that, at least. She was wonderful as well, and I enjoyed chatting with her in the hallways. She, too, quickly picked up on quirks of my brother and mine. I didn't really make use of the entertainment stuff, mainly because I went in mid-May so the cruise was full of like 70 year olds and I (male, 20) wasn't really interested in hanging out in the pool, bar, etc. with them lol. Not really the cruise's fault. The gym was pretty solid, no complaints there except that they might wanna add another bench. The tours you could go on at various islands were for the most part really cool and worth it.

A lovely experience
This was our third cruise with the Celestyal company, but our first aboard the Journey. We were delighted that this trip was just as enjoyable as the previous two. The staff are simply wonderful. They all work so hard to ensure passengers have the very best experience. Our cabin (Junior Suite) was roomy, comfortable and quiet, with a spacious balcony, and very well-serviced. The evening entertainment was excellent, with varied programmes of an extremely high standard. We also particularly enjoyed the daily lectures by Frosa Katsis. The ship is very attractively decorated (though our one criticism was the poor design of the newly-refurbished theatre). There was plenty of space for everyone to relax both inside and outdoors. We ate in the self-service buffet and the waiter service Smoked Olive restaurant. The food and service were exceptional in both. The cruise itinerary was extremely interesting. We opted for guided excursions from five ports of call plus an independent visit to Dubrovnik. I cannot praise the whole experience highly enough.

Great cruise!
Being on more than 10 cruises (mostly in the Caribbean) I was happily surprised by Celestyal. My wife and I were part of a group of eight people. The ship is one of the smaller ones that we’ve been on. This was a nice change. It was just a short walk for us to get anywhere. We were staying Aft side of the ship. We were pleasantly surprised by our cabin. Our cabin stewards Asep and Arif were always there for us if we needed anything. One thing worth mentioning was they had a special on laundry. It was 29 euros for anything that you can fit in a bag, and they will clean and fold it for you. We used this service twice. Highly recommended if you don’t want to go home with dirty laundry. As for the food on Celestyal, I can say that it was good. We had dinner almost every night at Taverna. The service was top notch! A big thank you to Mr. Herbert, Mr. Emmanuel, Mr. Roy and of course Ricco, Rickey, our wonderful waiters. To Mark, our wine steward, and to all the wonderful staff at Taverna. They varied the food from night to night. One night, after getting back to the ship later than we expected, Ricco and Rickey had arranged for us to enjoy some Filipino dishes. That was a wonderful surprise. Entertainment wise, we only saw one show in the main theater. It was an ABBA tribute. There was a magic show that was comprised of the bar staff. JD the head bartender at the Martini Lounge along Birbeck, Marke, and Lobert put on a great show. I think we would have liked it better if they had done it in a bigger space. Hats off to JD and crew for always making us feel welcomed! We did two excursions that we planned with the cruise. Kefolonia and Bari were amazing. We did our own exploration with the other ports. Thoroughly enjoyed Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu and Katakolon. For us it was a good mix of planned and un-planned excursions. Would I go back and cruise with Celestyal again? Yes!
