Super
This was our first cruise experience, and the ship exceeded our expectations. We were particularly impressed by theprofessionalism and attentiveness of certain staff members. The service at "Virgilio" on Deck 8 was outstanding — the team was consistently courteous, observant, and guest-focused. Our cabin steward, Tarek, also provided excellent service. We are truly grateful to all of them... The food and drinks were excellent we enjoyed every meal! The entertainment was also a lot of fun and really added to the overall experience. Big thanks to all of them for making our trip so special!... From live music to dance shows and themed nights, there was always something exciting happening. We also appreciated how clean and well-organized everything was. The atmosphere on board felt warm and welcoming.

Amazing river cruising experience...
It is the very first experience on a river cruise and with Avalon Waterways. Loved the ship, the cabin, the food, the organised shore excursions, on board entertainment, the happy hour too. Very friendly staff also crew and most of all the Capt is very approachable and down to earth. The all day (and night) coffee, tea with snack counter Aft and in the lounge is rather thoughtful. The well stocked bar is a real thirst quencher

Food was wonderful, land tour not so wonderful
We did the move up to a sky suite. Room was good, we had plenty of hangers and adequate storage. Having the butler deliver cappuccino to the room so we could watch the Hubbard glacier was special. The staff in the retreat lounge and luminae staff were both attentive. Spa the infrared sauna was still not working properly but spa manager issued a refund. Missed the heated loungers on newer ships. Ports were all the usual Ketchikan, Juneau, icy straight point and ended in Seward and caught the land tour. The land tour was IMHO not well organized and celebrity gave us one set on information, the tour company another, and we missed our sled dog and glacier excursion because despite tour company agenda stating 3:30 arrival and letting tour company guide know we needed to arrive no latter than 405 for the tour we arrived at Alyeska at 4:20. Having done holland, and princess land tours in past celebrity didn’t measure up. If you want a land tour I suggest using someone besides celebrity. If you want just the cruise and are okay with an older ship the Summit was a surprise. The land portion had very few planned activities and it was just a transportation from one place to the next with history on the bus. We stayed at Aleyeska which was beautiful, the Denali village which was more rustic. The window crank was broken so we couldn’t close the window and reported to our guide but it was not fixed, then we went to Talketna lodge which was beautiful. Flowers and grounds exceptional for Alaska with such a short growing season. It’s the gateway for Denali hikers.
