MENU HIGHLIGHTS
If you love a great old fashioned, you’ll find five versions of it on the menu at Schooner Bar, including a tropical twist that blends muddled cherries and pineapple with orange bitters and Malibu Coconut rum, and an innovative New Fashioned that brings in pink grapefruit, fresh raspberries, and a little bit of Southern Comfort. You can also dial up your night with a glamorous champagne cocktail, topped with Domaine Chandon and sweetened with an Angostura-doused sugar cube. Or sip your way across the Caribbean with a Zacapa rum-spiked daiquiri, shaken hard and double-strained, or a classic Papa Doble, prepared with Bacardi Superior rum, lychee and grapefruit juice. If you’re a fan of the Tom Collins, you’ll find that, too — plus four additional versions that each spotlight a different spirit.

MENU HIGHLIGHTS
Appetisers at Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade are larger than life. Try the group-friendly Pile On Nachos, loaded with gooey cheese, sliced jalapenos, creamy guacamole, salsa and sour cream – you can add pulled pork or chilli, too. The Pigskin Sliders are also delicious. Stuffed with tangy BBQ pulled pork, they go great with an order of the garlicky Parmesan-sprinkled Playmakers Fries. If you’re a wing lover, you can pair your order with three different sauces – Buffalo, BBQ or Jamaican Jerk – each with varying levels of spice. And if you’re craving a great burger, Playmakers has two to choose from: the classic and a version with truffle cheese sauce. There’s also an Impossible Burger that’s out of this world, if you’re looking for a plant-based option that packs in plenty of flavour. Dessert here lives up to the hype, too, so definitely save some room. Go for the five-scoop Touchdown Sundae or the Campfire Cookie, baked with melted marshmallow and Nutella and paired with milk shooters on the side.
PRO TIP
Feeling ambitious? Take on the Playmakers Challenge: if you can eat 100 of the hottest wings in 45 minutes, you’ll receive a commemorative T-shirt.

MENU HIGHLIGHTS
Many of the dishes on the Main Dining Room’s menu rotate each night, which means you could go an entire week without ever repeating a course. Every meal here begins with something delicious from the starters section of the menu — like savory duck terrine layered with apricot chutney on toasted sourdough bread, a flaky Vidalia onion tart baked with whipped eggs, cream, and smoked bacon, or spiced eggplant and Kalamata olive tartare prepared with red pepper hummus and served on crispy garlic bread. Then, choose from international entrees like Moroccan spiced ahi tuna served over mint couscous, sautéed spinach and tequila peppers with a cool yogurt vinaigrette. Or mojo-marinated bone-in pork loin paired with sweet potatoes, broccoli and a cumin-citrus reduction. Dessert is also worth getting excited about, with options like sweet cream-soaked tres leches, home-style carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and a light and fluffy Grand Marnier soufflé.
NOTE
Food offerings may differ by ship and sailing.
PRO TIP
The food in the Main Dining Room is complimentary, and you can order as many courses as you like.

MENU HIGHLIGHTS
If you’re dropping in with friends for a shareable snack, it doesn’t get better than a double order of Johnny Rockets® famous fries. Ask for them plain or go all out with cheese and bacon on top. As far as burgers go, you can’t go wrong with the Original, served with lettuce, tomatoes, chopped onions, pickles, mustard, relish and mayo. But there’s also the Smoke House, loaded with bacon, onion rings, cheddar cheese, and Smoke House BBQ ranch. And the Spicy Houston, flavored with jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, and the house Smokin’ Chipotle Ranch sauce. All the milkshakes here are heavenly, of course, but we’re partial to the Oreo® Cookies & Cream version.
PRO TIP
If you want to mix and match two milkshake flavors, just ask the staff if they can make it happen..

Alaska Queen Elizabeth cruise.
We are in a princess suite. The food and service have been outstanding. I cant really find much negative with our experience so far! Breakfast has plenty of choice, lunch also has plenty of choice. Several meals are finished by the table which is a nice touch. Wine list is very good and I have had some great wine. The quality of service in the princess dining room couldn't be faulted in any way. From the moment you walk in, the staff are friendly and cant do enough. Everything is done to absolute perfection. The A la carte menu is also excellent and gives options if you want a change from the main menu. Dining room is tranquil and relaxing. Embarkation was great, quick and efficient. Afternoon tea was great, fantastic service. Our room Stewart was very attentive and visited the cabin Several times a day. All in I wouldn't cruise with anyone else but cunard!

Big Win on our Cruise to Alaska
This was a Christmas present to two of our grandchildren, ages 13 and 10, who never cruised before and wanted very much to see Alaska. Having recently returned from a disappointing and lackluster MSC cruise we were worried since we wanted our grandkids' very first cruise to be an extra special experience and it was! From the moment we set foot in the Seattle Terminal, it was smooth sailing! The enbarkment process was the quickest we ever experienced. Score! Our grandchildren were like little kids in a candy store when we had lunch at the Windjammer. I was impressed with the variety of food and surprised by how tasty everything was. The water stations even offered Vitality water which was a change from the usual watered down lemonade and ice tea most ships offer. And hot chocolate packets were available for the asking. Thumbs up for the Windjammer. Score again! We were off to a good start. After lunch we roamed the ship and even as seasoned cruisers we were able to take in the beauty of the ship through our grandkids eyes and were wowed by all the ship had to offer, especially on the upper decks and SeaPlex. Though the artwork on the ship, especially some of the elevators were a headscratch all in all, the ship was clean and never really felt crowded. Score again! With the goal of spending a whole week of quality time with our grandkids, we shared a balcony cabin which seemed larger than other cruise cabins and even had an extended balcony. We never felt in each other's way even with four in the room and we still had room to play card games when we were exhausted and needed time to ourselves. We brought plenty of magnetic hooks and over the door hooks to hang our coats, seapasses and sling bags. Another score for the cabin! We had a set time for dinner in the Silk Dining Room each night and we were not disappointed. The room was elegant and we had two of the best waitstaff, Joseph and Kharlos. They made each dinner a joy with their friendly demeanor and brought special drinks and treats for the grandkids every night. They even entertained us singing and dancing several nights. The meals, while not five star quality were definitely one of the better ones we've had on cruises. Score once more for great dinners! We also ate at Izumi and Chopped Grille which some liked better than others. There were a few disappointments among them the headlining shows. We skipped Sequins and Feathers since we didn't think it was appropriate for younger children; we left Starwater before it ended as it was just too strange and we couldn't get into it; the comedian, while funny sometimes, his pace with his jokes was off and kind of fell flat. The only show we all enjoyed was the juggler/comedian. For a 7 day cruise to only have one production that was enjoyable was pretty poor. Thank goodness for all the available activities on the ship. Ping pong, foosball, soccer, bumper cars, billiards, rock climbing, escape room, indoor pool, shows, trivia, silent disco, so much to do! And our grandkids did them all! Score again with the amount of activities onboard. Three last misses included how early the Windjammer and ice cream stand closed, so no bedtime snacks. After 9pm little food options were available except for the pizza, which was pretty good. Another total miss was the lack of clear communication from Royal Caribbean. Information was found only on the Cruise Compass and app, which usually did not offer much detail. RC should have been utilizing their onboard TV station more with info as to port times; weather; shuttles to ports; estimated time for glacier watching; options for luggage; disembarkment procedures and anything else important. Information regarding the RC shuttle to the airport was a huge miss. We were told it would be a 15 min wait with a 30 min ride to the airport. We ended up waiting over an hour to get on the shuttle, it took way over 30 min to get to the airport and then you had to sit on the bus another 10 min before you could get off. It was fortunate we had a late afternoon flight. You need at least 90 min to 2 hours lead time of when you have to get through security for your flight. Some people who paid for the shuttle ended up leaving the line to pay for a taxi to ensure they made their flights. Being frustrated and anxious is a poor way to end a great cruise. But for the four of us, we had the best time on the cruise. Even with the misses, there were a lot more WINS!!!
