Great ship, fantastic holiday

We've sailed on Britannia several times. In fact it's our favourite P&O ship. The staff are always very keen to make your stay a good one, and this was no exception. We had a balcony cabin which was clean and well presented. The cabin staff were very attentive. We ate mainly at the free sit down restaurants included in the fee. Occasionally we used the speciality dining paying the extra fees. The food was delicious. We attended the talks. These are variable. We've found the same on past cruises. We went on several excursions which we paid extra for. These were all very good and worth paying for. We attended several on ship entertainment sessions in The Headliners Theatre. These are truly astonishing and well worth attending. We've never had a disappointing time on this ship and will continue to use it as part of future holiday planning sessions. Good old Britannia.

P&O Baltic City Cruise on Britannia May 2025.

P&O Baltic City Cruise May 2025. Southampton ,Kiel, Tallinn, Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen ,Skagen, Southampton. My wife and I really did not know what to expect as this was only our second cruise the last one was 13 years ago on Costa Mediterranea..I booked the cruise through Igloo Cruises who were extremely helpful advising the best deck and part of the ship for our cabin as well as any other queries that came up including what type of clothing to take at this time of year (layers) so I would definitely book through them again. I booked car parking with CPS which is on the same site as the ship, cost £243 for the duration the process to park was easy and straight forward . Checking in was painless and no where near as stressful as flying with having been given a time to turn up and check in as there was plenty of staff to advise you, Having gone through security etc to get on board first stop Muster station ,Staff were helpful explaining where to go what to do and where to find our Cabin ,When we got to our cabin our Cruise cards and cases were waiting for us outside of the room. Balcony Cabin was spacious enough with double bed ,Tv on wall, power sockets on shelf below the tv and lower down on the wall . The Bathroom was a bit tight but good and clean ,good shower nice and powerful. Plenty of space to hang clothes approx 20 hangers ,,shelf above for clothes and space below to lay 2 large suitcases on top of each other with smaller ones inside with space for shoes. Bed good size with bedside cabinet one side but NO power socket other side, dressing table with fridge and power sockets. The Cabin Steward was really good and our cabin was always clean and tidy. Balcony ok two chairs and small table the only thing was ,The handrail was at eye sight when sitting down . The Brittania as a ship was very clean well maintained, painting some parts of the ship when docked in other countries, and well laid out with maps of the ship at all the lifts and stairs pointing out which direction to go in for bars ,Theatres etc for the amount of people on board it never felt crowded . Dining we had freedom dinning , in the Peninsular or Meridian was easy and the Food was very tasty and a good variety .The Waiters were very courteous and very efficient .The Horizon was Buffet which we did not use. On the Black tie nights if you do not like dressing up for dinner then you will have to use the Horizon buffet as a dark suit and tie are essential There were many activities on sea days such as Dance classes twice a day ,Guest speakers giving talks these Talks get very busy so get to the theatre early. Gym activities and Quizes you can use the P&O app MY Holiday to see what`s on as well as keeping an eye on your bills . I had booked our trips through P&O before we embarked on the trip which was easy enough to do ,so all were paid for upfront, I was a a bit nervous about making our own way so for the first time we went on organised trips, on one day unfortunately 4 persons did not get back in time so they had to make their own way to the next port of call. Overall we both enjoyed the Brittania and would have no qualms to sail on her and with P&O again.

Transatlantic Cruise

We thought the ship was a good size, bit too big ,but big enough to have plenty to do on sea days. We enjoyed the Caribbean, beaches were gorgeous and swimming in the warm sea amazing. The weather was over 30 degrees which was to us very hot. We enjoyed all the Caribbean ports but were stressed when we took a private tour in St Lucia which was by boat and one of the engines broke We got back to ship with only 20 mins to spare which for us was too stressful. The other ports we got a short taxi to beaches which was fine. If we went back we would do an organized tour to see more of the 3 islands. The sea days between the Caribbean were excellent. The weather was lovely and if you stayed away from the main pool there were some lovely quiet spots. We did the dance classes in the morning, ballroom and Latin which were great fun. I did 4 of the talks , one by the longest serving female helicopter crewman, it was very interesting. The food and service were excellent We did 2 of the speciality restaurant, the glasshouse and sindhu both excellent. We liked the house wine , reasonably priced around £22.00 and we tried the gin flight. I did a free fitness class, there were some you could pay for and l believe the navy seals one was excellent Favorite port was Porto delagdo absolutely stunning. We did a full day tour and it was brilliant. Our Cabin was a slight upgrade. It was a lovely large balcony cabin with a larger than average balcony All in all a brilliant holiday
