Exquisitely decorated with heirloom antiques, pickled wood furnishings and art from Jacques Pépin’s personal collection, Jacques was modelled after a Parisian bistro. Comfortable and eclectic, the ambiance is pure French, as is the cosmopolitan yet wonderfully embraceable cuisine. Luscious aromas waft from the gleaming show rotisserie, where chicken, duck, pork, beef and veal roasts slowly turn. Each dish is a classic, ingeniously reinterpreted by Master Chef Pépin. Rotisserie roasted chicken falls off the bone, bursting with flavour, while his sea bass fillet pairs exquisitely with beurre blanc.

Marina cruise
Our first cruise with Oceania. We were not disappointed. We had a good idea this was going to be a special cruise company,we were extremely happy. All aspects of cruise from room to restaurants to public areas exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail by everyone onboard was just amazing. Entertainment on board was varied in its appeal for everyone. Some real good entertainment..Only blip was on disembarking. We purchased coach to Istanbul airport and were advised to meet in public areas before 7 am for disembarking. We did this and there was no one there, thought I had missed something. We inquired at guest services and they informed us we could leave on our own accord. A little poor communication on ships part.I would highly recommend Oceania for anyone looking to cruise with a little class you won’t be disappointed. All public areas on board were very well appointed vey comfortable and inviting.

We LOVED our Mediterranean cruise on the Marina.
We absolutely loved our cruise onboard Oceania Marina. Our Concierge Veranda cabin was good, our steward was great. The itinerary was amazing. We had 6 shore excursions booked through Oceania, and each one was really great. I have to admit that I scheduled 3 early morning excursions in a row, with each lasting most or all of the day, and by the 3rd day, we were ready for a break. That was MY "bad", and if we ever do another similar cruise, I'll try to keep that in mind. The concierge-level perk of having 3 bags of laundry done was GREAT. The dining options were wonderful. We made reservations in each of the 4 specialty restaurants, and they did not disappoint. I will say that Polo was our favorite, but they were all remarkable. The Grand Dining Room was elegant, and the food was good each time we dined there. The Terrace Grill was easy, being a buffet, and we ate there a few times because it suited our schedule. The Waves Bar was great, making the best "top-shelf" margarita ever! The Martinis Bar was a fun place to relax and have a tasty adult beverage during "happy hour". The house band, the "Rei Band", at the Horizons Bar was absolutely top notch. I can't emphasize enough how good that band was. We didn't see any of the "shows" while on board, so I can't comment on the quality of those. I took one of the art classes offered. It was informative, and I had planned to go to the next 3, but I had conflicts. Having been on a couple of cruises on much larger ships on another cruise line, we found that we really enjoyed the smaller size of the Marina. It seemed more intimate, and with the exception of the one "at sea" day, there were always available pool chairs and nothing seemed particularly crowded. We would definitely do another cruise on this size of ship. I would also highly recommend arriving a day early at the city of the embarkation, and if possible, staying an extra night at the debarkation port. We thoroughly enjoyed Barcelona for the evening prior to our sailing, and we got to enjoy the beautiful city of Athens for one evening before flying home.

Oceania Marina Mediterranean Cruise
We have cruised quite a few times and had nice experiences on those cruises. However, the Oceania cruise was top notch, from start to finish! It would be hard to write every reason we rate this as a five star cruise, so lets begin. From the time we reached the port to board, the process was the smoothest that we have ever seen. A lot of previous cruises, the boarding process was cumbersome and chaotic, long lines, and frustration. Oceania boarding agents were pleasant and have the process figured out. Within a few minutes of our arrival time at the port, we dropped off our bags, boarded the ship and it just got better from there. Our butler met us at our room to give us an overview of his responsibilities to us, and he was beyond polite, professional and an all around great guy. Of course we knew that we were not his only concern, I'm sure he had plenty of other rooms and people to attend to, though, he made it feel like he was "our" butler! We relied on him on many occasions to assist us with dinner reservations, and he came through, every time. I am disappointed that I forget his name, and that's my fault, not his, and I apologize for not remembering his name. The activities and the access that we had on the ship based on our room was top-notch. Everything was neat and clean and every person that we met were overly friendly and more than willing to ensure they helped us in every way possible. We used the Spa, the sauna, weight room, library etc., and no detail was overlooked. The main dining area that we ate for breakfast and lunch was like the rest of the ship, clean, and traffic flowed smoothly accommodating hundreds or people per meal service. The food wasn't your average buffet food, where food, is just food. The food was well prepared, tasted great and the wait staff, like the people already mentioned met or exceeded expectations. Our drinks, whether water coffee or other choices were never empty long, very attentive and polite for the volume of people they waited on. The specialty restaurants were also well worth mention! We ate at each one several times during our cruise. Actually, we ate at one of them almost every night. Like the rest of my entries, each restaurant, was unique, but each specialty restaurant was over the top. Food was delicious, the wait staff incredible and the atmosphere perfect. The tours that we chose through Oceania were great. Of the 12 or so tours/excursions that we booked through Oceania, only one was iffy, and I don't think it was Oceania's fault. The tour guide on this excursion was just so-so, he couldn't hold my attention, but my wife, sister and brother in-law didn't mind him. The excursion was to Mt Etna, in my opinion, I would never do it again, but, to contradict myself, it is an amazing site. If you chose this tour, maybe you'll have a better experience. I would highly recommend taking a warm jacket or sweater, and probably wear pants. The temperature when we got off the ship to tour Mt Etna was very warm/pleasant. However, when we reached our destination, Mt Etna, it was very cloudy, and if not cool, it was cold. So, dress warm. We cant say enough about how great this cruise was. Each port of call was worth every penny spent. The sights and tour guides were amazing. The tour guides ability to talk for hours and hours giving minute details were as amazing as the sights that we saw. I didn't mention any of the bars, but I should. The Martini Bar was probably our favorite, but, the entertainment was BAD. If you cant sing, singer louder doesn't make you a better singer. I would highly encourage Oceania to screen their entertainers, especially solo performers a little better. I must say though, the singer/performer at the Martini Bar did a better job than I could have. Finally, departing the ship. Although it took a while for our time of departure, the departure was as smooth as the boarding. Oceania had our bags ready for collection as soon as we disembarked. And our bags were easy to find, and very well organized. Once we claimed our bags, Oceania staff re-collected them, loaded them on our bus and we were on our way without delay. I would definitely highly recommend the Oceania Marina Mediterranean cruise. I cannot say anything about any other Oceania Ship, or cruise. But, if they are anything like the one I just reviewed, you will not be disappointed!!!!
