Wonderful cruise of Hawaii
7 day round trip cruise from Honolulu. Deluxe balcony cabin has a large balcony. Mini fridge in cabin. Dining room service was very good, no reservations for dinner needed for party of 2, we never waited more than a few minutes. Food in dining room was good but not great. 2 dinners at the specialty restaurants (steakhouse and Italian) were excellent. Aloha cafe breakfast buffets were great, omelettes, made to order. All meals at buffet were good. The only excursion I would not recommend is the hop on on off shuttle on Kuaui, there are free shuttles from the pier to beach and shopping. Maui has a canoe excursion that is great, rated strenuous but is fine or most people. Live music at several venues; comedians and magician shows at night. Cruise staff is wonderful; great bar service at pool, cool cloths upon return from excursions, I would recommend this cruise!

First NCL cruise
We flew into Honolulu 2days before cruise to see Pearl Harbor and did stay 2 nights after cruise and I highly recommend if you have time. This is our first cruise on NCL although it was our 24th cruise. It was a very, very good experience. Some of these reviews seem pretty harsh and not representative of our experience. We wanted to do Hawaii but didn’t want to spend time in airports flying between islands. We have been cruising on larger, newer ships so the expected the ship to seem small but it was fine and it’s in great shape. The public rooms and restaurants are super clean and they weren’t crowded which isn’t the case on the big ships. The food was good, some was really good. I’m a celiac so I can’t eat a lot of things but the food at the buffet was marked and you can ask for things and if it can be modified they will do it. I do wish the cruise lines would have fresh baked goods for breakfast. I was excited when I spoke to chef on opening day asking about gf options . He pointed to section and said here’s where you get toast, bagels waffles…it turned out to be prepackaged that I can buy in grocery store. Still, it was a start. I think you might be able to go to main dining room for breakfast but we have never done that so maybe that’s better. We did 3 specialty dinners and hands down the Jefferson was the best. Moderno Churrascaria was a close second. Cagney’s was fine but our least favorite. We took most tours offered from NCL although we did take a Robert’s Hawaii tour in Kauai and we loved it. We had a great time and the entertainment was very good. We had an unobstructed balcony on deck 9 and it was a good location. All of the staff were great. Our cabin attendant Switly was outstanding. He was a gem. We did miss the casino but we got over it..and saved money. We would definitely consider another NCL cruise and encourage anyone on the fence to go for it. It’s a great way to see lots of fabulous places

Best way to see Hawaii for the 1st time
Traveled with my husband for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and his 52nd B'day. Cruise Itinerary did not disappoint. Ship was clean and a special shout out to the restaurant and bar staff who were friendly and accommodating. Adult pool is small and shallow, otherwise overall great ship for this trip! Best thing we did was rent a car in Maui (Enterprise rental is a 2 minute walk from the port)and Kauai (Budget/Enterprise shuttle provided complimentary from the port) We rented a Jeep Wrangler and used the Shaka Guide App, it was literally like having our own private tour of the islands. You pay for the tours you want and it is worth every penny. Day 1 in Maui, we did Road To Hana. Day 2 we did the other side of the island. Be wary of Highway 340, we stumbled upon it by accident traveling to the Nakelele Blowhole. It is a dangerous narrow one lane road and we would have avoided it had we known. Day 1 in Kauai we did Waimea Canyon and Day 2 we drove the North Coast of Kauai to see the many beaches. The Shaka Guide App took us to the best swimming you will experience hands down. We booked excursions in Hilo (Rainbow Falls) and Kona (Snorkeling) which also worked out great.
