1st time on Princess, definitely not my last one!
This was my first time on Princess after many cruises on Royal Caribbean (Emerald status there) as well as cruises on Celebrity and Norwegian. This will not be my last cruise with Princess as I was VERY impressed. We stayed in a suite and had a marvelous time Embarkation - this was one of the few aspects of Princess I did not care for, as there was no dedicated suite line and I thought the process was slower than other cruise lines. Not horrible, but an area which could be improved Room - we stayed in a suite and it was wonderful. Tons of storage space, great room layout and tons of space in the bathroom. Our room, R616, had a smaller balcony but it was fine for our needs and was not an issue at all. Food - here is where I was greatly pleasantly surprised by Princess, the food was excellent. I have noted that the food on RC has really declined in the last few years and even on Celebrity, which is known for their food, I was unimpressed. The buffet on this ship was far better in terms of presentation, layout and quality than any other ship I have been on. My wife, a vegetarian, really appreciated how the vegetarian and vegan areas were separate from the meat ones to prevent cross-contamination. We had dinner in the Crown Steak house one night and the rib eye I had there was among the best steaks I have ever had in my life. Vegetarian wife had sides and said every one was amazing Alfredo's pizza on the ship touts itself as the best pizza in the seas and I would say they are correct. We stopped there for lunch one day and the pizza was excellent Sabatini's was good but nothing extraordinary As a suite guest, we did have a reserved section of the main dining area that we visited frequently that did offer a slightly different menu. The food in the main dining was uniformly excellent and the service was top notch. I did try the salty dog one day to see what their offerings were like. The fries were really subpar but the hot dog with lots of toppings was a delicious treat. The gelato on the ship was a bit overpriced and not that great. They also are offering slices of cake, such as red velvet and black forest, at the gelato store and those can be avoided. Dry and tasteless Entertainment - I loved many of the shows on the ship. They do not offer the same breadth of shows available on RC but they are very good. The highlight was the show in the Spotlight Bar show in the Princess Lounge. The voices of the singers were Broadway caliber. There were also performers near various bars on the ship. There were several near the Crown whose songs and music were entrancing. There were a number of comedians that came onto the ship who were also very funny Activities - Princess really did a nice job with games, trivia and activities throughout the cruise. The staff did a great job in keeping things fun while not being overly cheesy or silly Ship design - this is the only other complaint I had about the cruise, I did not care for the design of the ship. With many bars/activities concentrated in the center plaza on the ship on decks 5-7 it could get noisy and crowded and there were some elevators that could not get down to deck 5 so you would have to get off on decks 6 or 7 and walk down the rest. Clunky and inefficient design. For those who have been in a suite lounge on other lines, the suite lounge for this ship was pretty small. The food they had there was good, coffee is available 24/7, and the concierges were very responsive but the lounge is much smaller than the Haven on Norwegian, for example. So calibrate your expectations. This cruise only had the one stop in Hamburg for 2 days with the rest of the time at sea, so we were able to spend a lot of time exploring the ship. I absolutely loved this cruise, was impressed by Princess and will definitely be sailing on it again in the future

Wonderful Adventure
This was the best cruise I have ever went on. We chose it for the itinerary which had 4 stops in Norway and 4 Iceland. It did not disappoint. In terms of the ship, our room steward was fantastic and kept the room clean and was super friendly. We went to the gym on several occasions and equipment was great. We purchased the thermal spa pass for the two weeks and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend especially as it was too cold to enjoy the pools on upper deck. The food in buffet was good, not great. I thought MDR was very good, especially compared to other lines. We particularly liked the Chefs Dinner experience and Rudi’s. We also loved the sushi reaturaunt.. The ship was beautiful annd atrium anrea breathtaking. Only very small complaint is that it was hard to find seats in that area. I think that had to do with it being more cold outside. Lastly the app was great! Used it multiple times to order drinks and my orders always came fast.

Amazing
How anyone could make a negative comment about this ship is beyond me. I would give it 5star for absolutely everything . The rooms beds ect were so so comfy . The food was as good as I five star restaurant. In all of the restaurants including the buffet. The entertainment was also fist class . All of the staff all around the ship were happy and helpfull. It has gone up a notch from sitting around like one foot in the grave . It’s lively and good fun . And an all round fun ship . With lots of places to just sit and read if that’s your thing . So go grab yourself a cruise with sky . You will not be disappointed. We have been on 30 cruises and this is our absolute favourite. Thanks to all of the staff. Thankyou for giveing us the best time .
