If you’re out to find new legends, flip directly to the RedFrog Pub®, featuring not only a mythical mascot, but actual drinks — plus Caribbean atmosphere by the gallon. Kids will tell and retell the tale of their favorite vacation, spent hanging out and meeting new friends at one of three supervised youth areas. And adults can get lost in a good book, or just one another’s company, at the legendarily kid-free Serenity Adult-Only Retreat™. Experience unheard-of levels of relaxation at Cloud 9 Spa™. Then, when the sun goes down, dance the night away at Medusa’s Lair Dance Club. Activities on Carnival Legend? Nothing short of legendary.

The Punchliner Comedy Club™
Comedy clubs on land… well, it’s kinda funny. Nobody likes paying cover charges, and you know that two-drink minimum? They’ve gotta be joking! You won’t find either of these at The Punchliner Comedy Club™ aboard your Carnival cruise. Up on stage you will find some real pros who know how to wedge a little laughter into anyone’s evening. You can count on these comedians to not hold back either. Since some of them get up and say exactly what’s on their mind, we also schedule family-friendly performances… so the only red faces in the audience are from laughing a little too hard.
Tip: We’ll say it again — The Punchliner Comedy Club features some shows that are family-friendly and some adult-only. You can choose which ones you attend! To help plan your evening, check the Fun Times — it’s delivered daily to your stateroom.

Playlist Productions™
Everyone has those perfect songs that never fail to get them moving. Playlist Productions™ brings lists like yours to life! Your favourites become full-blown musical productions featuring singers and dancers bringing down the house. Shows vary by ship, but there’s a playlist for every music lover. Need a few examples? How about the spicy sounds of Amor Cubano™, the movie-magic soundtrack of FLICK™, or Vintage Pop™ with its 20s-jazz-meets-modern-hits? Release your inner rock-n-roll patriot during America Rocks™! Enter the centre of groove with the passionate Heart of Soul™. Feel the arena-shaking sounds of Epic Rock™, the piano-pounding sounds of 88 Keys™, the totally bad-meaning-good 80s Pop to the Max™, plus the funky, sophisticated... and not-at-all exclusive Studio VIP™, where everyone’s welcome to come and get down!
Dining Options

Seaday Brunch
Forget what “they” say — the most important meal of the day is brunch. Slumberers can sleep in and still enjoy breakfast favourites, while early-risers get a head-start on lunch. And Seaday Brunch brings everybody’s favourite mid-morning meal to your Carnival cruise, and does it right. You’ll enjoy huevos rancheros, special french toast, loaded mac-n-cheese… and yes, more ways to cook eggs than we even thought was possible. Chow down and fuel up — you’ve got lots of exploring to do, across the ship, for the rest of the day.

Bonsai Sushi™
So maybe you’ve had sushi on a cruise before, but you’ve never had it like Bonsai Sushi™, our onboard seafood-and-soy-sauce spot. Dine amidst expertly-pruned bonsai trees while enjoying sit-down service and an affordable menu of delectable sushi and sashimi… plus rolls, soups, sides, sakes and desserts. So the next time you’re taking an onboard stroll, stop at Bonsai Sushi for a little something satisfying.

Cruise fun with family
My children and grandson had an absolute blast on the ship! My son, along with his friends, totally owned the 15 to 17 lounge, hanging out together and making unforgettable memories. Meanwhile, my daughter and I embraced the fun at the club, enjoying a few delightful drinks and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. My kids checked out the kids' club but decided to explore other adventures; thankfully, the staff there was incredibly kind and sweet! As for my aunt, she hit the jackpot by gambling throughout the trip, coming away with some wins and loads of laughter! My cousins and her friends captured all the fun with loads of pictures, ensuring every moment was documented. We celebrated my cousin's birthday in style with a fabulous party of 20 people—what a fantastic gathering! Ida Bagus delivered outstanding service during my stay, consistently going above and beyond to make our experience comfortable. He paid close attention to our stateroom, ensuring we always had fresh towels and little extras that made a difference. Whether arranging our belongings neatly or checking in to see if we needed anything, his dedication was evident. His warm demeanor and attentiveness created a welcoming atmosphere for my family; for that, he deserves a perfect 10 stars in my book! And guess what? I’ve already planned another cruise for my boyfriend and a special one to celebrate our anniversary. Can't wait for the excitement to continue!

Wonderful Experience
Long review ahead! We had a wonderful time on the Legend! We have gone on two cruises, but they were 25 years ago and not to Alaska, so we pretty much thought of this as our first cruise. We are 63 and 64, so take that into account when reading this review lol! But the best thing about a cruise is the ship itself, which is more important to me than the destinations. There was plenty to do onboard if we wanted to, but also plenty of places to sit and read a book. Because we would be spending so much time indoors, I was expecting it to feel much more crowded than it did, and figured we’d have a hard time finding places to sit and relax in the public areas. But there were tons of places to sit, and we always found a good spot. In fact, one of the best places to relax was in the Lido buffet (not during meal rush times). The buffet had wonderful comfortable seating with floor-to-ceiling windows, and we often played games or just read there. The buffet got super busy and crowded during breakfast and lunch, and I wish there was a way to alleviate the long lines during those times. The buffet itself only serves food during certain hours, but food is almost always available at the deli (11-11), pizza place (9am-midnight), and Guy’s Burger Joint (noon-6pm). Again, long lines at all those places, so we tried to go before or after lunch. It made no sense at all to us why Guy’s closes at 6pm – why aren’t they open late like the deli or pizza? The actual buffet food was hit and miss for us, but I was always able to find something. To avoid the lines, I often went to the salad bar, which rarely had a line! There was a large dessert selection, and a lot of those items were delicious. Every day they offered the same two cookie choices – chocolate chip or sugar, and though they looked unappetizing, in reality they both tasted great. I ordered once from the Seafood Corner, which is also located in the buffet but has an upcharge. The prices were so reasonable - $5 for a bowl of clam chowder and $10 for the bucket of fried shrimp & fries (it’s called a bucket, but it wasn’t; just a large plate). They had a nice selection of options, all at fair prices, and are open 4:30-10. They are always busy, and I had to wait about 20 minutes for my order to come up. There were other food options as well in the buffet area – BlueIguana for breakfast & lunch which serves tacos & burritos. They shut down for the day at 2:30, which is another head-scratcher. I think all the food should be available all day long! There’s also Chopsticks, which we didn’t visit, but is only open noon-2:30. We ate at the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse once, and thought it was very good. We both had exactly the same thing: stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer (DELICIOUS!) and the filet mignon for the entree. I think it’s a great value at $52 per person, which also includes a dessert. They served afternoon tea twice on our 10-day voyage. We went once, and were definitely underwhelmed! Good thing it didn’t cost extra! Just the cheap Lipton tea and a small plate of food – three savories and four sweets. No scones or anything resembling them, certainly no jam or clotted cream, and not even any milk, sugar, or honey on the table! We had to ask for all three of those! But the servers were super polite and friendly and asked if we wanted a second plate of food, which I did indeed. I will say that all the tea food tasted delicious. They had several trivia games each day, with different subject matters. There were shows of various types each night in the main theater, and we went to several of those. I loved all of it. They did a great song & dance musical “Dear Future Husband,” which was excellent. The Variety Show with Sideshow Bert was also great, as was the Deal or No Deal game show and Guess That Groove. I saw two of the PG-rated comedy shows, and one was quite good while the other one was just not funny, so you take your chances there. There was live music playing in several venues at all different times, and that was fantastic. Our balcony room was great and had quite a lot of storage. Plus we brought along heavy-duty hook magnets and hung up a lot of stuff on the walls (binoculars, sweaters, hats etc). There was plenty of shelf space in the bathroom. Our cabin was located in the perfect spot – just steps from the panoramic elevators. We didn’t notice any extra noise from being near the elevators. One of the reasons we picked Carnival was because they had self-serve laundry facilities onboard (I think on each floor?), which we used once. Two washers, four dryers. We went early on a sea day, and it was a good thing, because by the time we moved to the dryer there was a line of laundry bags waiting to use the washers. It’s too bad they can’t offer more machines. There were an iron and ironing board, but I can’t see how you could ever use them because there are always several people in the tiny room and there would be no space to open up the board. But it’s still preferable than sending out the laundry to be done; at least to me it is, not everyone would agree. The cost is $3 each, which you pay for using your Sign & Sail card, so no quarters required. The dryer gives you 45 minutes, which wasn’t enough time. There’s no way to add additional time, so you just have to pay for another 45 minutes and come back to check so your clothes don’t get fried. They also sell laundry soap, but we had brought our own along. This ship is great for Alaska, because they have a cover they close over the main pool area, which was fantastic. There is also another pool right in front of that area, which is always open to the elements, and a third open pool in the Serenity area for ages 21 and up. There aren't near enough hot tubs, just one in the outdoor pool and another in the over-21 pool. You can walk around the ship outside on Deck 3, except for the very front where you have to go back inside and walk around what they call The Enchanted Forest, then come back outside. You can also walk around the ship on Deck 10. There's so much outdoor walking space available! Even in cold Alaska, it was nice to get outside. On our final at-sea day, it was finally warm enough for us to play a couple rounds of their 9-hole mini golf, which we also enjoyed. One thing we missed was shuffleboard, which they didn’t have (except for an indoor table version found in the Red Frog Pub). The one thing we didn’t like was the fact that our ship felt like the poor stepchild at each port! That is, we never had the prime spot on the pier. In Juneau, the four piers were already full so we docked in the water and were tendered to shore. In Skagway, we were at the farthest away pier and due to a rockslide were not allowed to walk along the pier, so had to take shuttles just to get to the end of the pier, which was still ½ mile from town. In Ketchikan, we were at Ward Cove, which required a 20-minute shuttle bus ride to get to town. Getting to and from the ship added quite a bit of time to our already busy days onshore.

First time cruisers on Carnival; we will return!
This was our first time on Carnival. We found the check-in process to be extremely efficient out of Tampa and once boarded, no pushing liquor packages or anything. We were directed immediately to our muster station, so got that over withright away, cabin was spotless. Everything was clean neat and even though the cruise was full, it never seemed crowded. We weren’t crazy about the dining room. They had a lot of rules about no baseball caps and Jean cut offs and we saw a lot of that in the dining room! There were no table cloths and service was slow, but food was very good and presented well. The ship is quite environmentally aware of Waste and I was pleased to see that they did not use a lot of paper napkins and plasticware and single use plastic cups.. most people don’t care about that but I did. We never met our room steward , but the room was spotless every day. No ice in the rooms no bucket filling of ice at all that doesn’t really matter anyway. We thought the food was good. There were many many excursions to choose from and everything was available until 24 hours ahead of time and then we saw some sold out, but the excursions that we took were affordable and very well done and we had many many choices! I’ve been on some cruise lines that excursions are sold out five months ahead of time, not carnival’s. We did a seven day cruise of Western Caribbean and had a balcony room. The ports were fine, but you need to do excursions as the ports don’t offer anything but cheesy shopping and junky souvenir shops. I would choose carnival again for it’s exceptional value!
