Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras: Fun-Fueled Vacation Innovation Powered by LNG
When we launched our first ship, 1972's TSS Mardi Gras, we made cruising a lot less stuffy, a bit less fancy, the kind of fun everybody could enjoy. Nobody expected this ship to change the cruise world, but... here we are! So here’s a brand-new ship with a familiar name. With this Mardi Gras™ we aren't just paying homage to our first ship — in cruising circles this name suggests innovation, signals the start of something big. Oh, and this Mardi Gras still shouts “fun!” at the top of its lungs. This ship introduces Zones — six themed areas packed with brand-new experiences for eating, drinking and spectacularly getting down to fun. There's BOLT™, the first-ever rollercoaster at sea, Emeril's Bistro 1396™ from yes-that-Emeril, Family Feud™ Live for everybody... plus incredible new bars like The Brass Magnolia and Fortune Teller. Everybody can enjoy Mardi Gras, sailing now. Come on down!

Mardi Gras: Fun-Fueled Vacation Innovation Powered by LNG

The Ultimate Playground
Don't let the name fool you — this zone is ages everybody and up. Kids, you're going to love this. And adults, the playground has grown up with you. So yay for play! Of course The Ultimate Playground starts with BOLT®, the first rollercoaster at sea, an all-electric thrill ride that puts the power of speed in your hands. But that's only the beginning — this playground has the largest Carnival WaterWorks™ ever with three huge spiraling slides, plus SportSquare™ is here featuring an entire mini-golf course, full-court basketball and a ropes course. And, of course, more. Ultimate enough for you?

The Brass Magnolia
Think about the fruity Hurricane cocktail or the stately Sazerac — for ages now, these hometown heroes have been ambassadors for New Orleans ‘credo of fun, flavor and just plain good times. So of course we’ll be serving up classics like these at The Brass Magnolia! You’ll also find a swingin’ jazz trio keeping things nice and hot … and it takes only one look at the décor to feel as if you just stepped into an elegant Southern estate. So come on down and let a white-coated bartender know what your pleasure is. Among the menu of Crescent City mainstays, we suggest starting off with a true connoisseur’s local favorite … the Brandy Crusta.
Dining Options

Emeril’s Bistro 1396™
Mardi Gras® sets sail with Emeril Lagasse's first-ever restaurant at sea: Emeril's Bistro 1396™. Everybody knows about Emeril's love for Creole cuisine, and now you'll enjoy the authentic bayou flavors and fun New Orleans is known for on your vacation. If you haven't had the pleasure, we're talking about fried oysters, duck & sausage gumbo, po-boy sandwiches, fresh ceviche and more. We're serving up Emeril's faves all day… and because flavors this big don't just sleep in, we do some great ones for breakfast too! Raw bar, incredible desserts and Crescent City atmosphere round out the experience.

Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse
With choices like brisket, sausage, baby back ribs and dry-rubbed chicken, our pros do the smoking right there over hickory wood before serving them up at your table. You’re in Guy Fieri’s house — Mardi Gras® has Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse™. Now about the brews: this house of BBQ tradition doesn’t just satisfy your hunger — you’ll also enjoy our all-new, exclusive line of Parched Pig™ craft brews. There’s a smoked porter, a farmhouse ale, a hoppy IPA and a toasted amber, all brewed just feet from your table. Tip: Come by and check out the free menu at lunchtime, plus live music and lively atmosphere all day.

Wonderful experience
It was a wonderful cruise. Did an excursion in Cozumel. The activities was worth watching. Tribute to veterans was awesome. The cruise director Jackie Tang was an enjoyable and wonderful host on all of his activities he did. The ship is set up that everything on board is easy to find and not waiting long in any lines. Jermaine I believe was his name in the pizza area treated my son with respect and kindness. The shrimp at the seafood bar was the best shrimp that I had ever had and that’s saying a lot for I have ate a lot of shrimp from other countries and lots of other states. I would recommend the Mardi Gras cruise to anyone who wants to go on a cruise. Hospitality was at its best from all the crew members who were working on this cruise that I went on and I would go again.

Great time on the Mardi Gras
We booked an Havana Cabana on deck 8. Loved the location, the bar and the (albeit small) pool. The cabin was spotless and comfortable. The staff at the Havana bar were particularly friendly and helpful. The live music was fantastic. To us, the upgrade for the Havana cabanas is worth it. There’s a lot of space in the porch area, there are more than enough chairs and space for folks, and listening to music at night while sipping well-made drinks is incredibly fun. We were pleasantly surprised we had the opportunity to eat at Chibang and the Italian restaurant. The food we had at Chibang was the best we had all week. I will definitely be going back. We also ate at the Bonsai restaurant ($) and had a great meal with friendly and efficient staff. The main dining room food options have definitely changed since we started cruising many years ago, but the food was plentiful and tasty, and the wait staff also friendly and efficient. We did miss having dishes from the ports we visited like Carnival used to do. The ship is very clean and comfortable. The pools looked clean and we saw crew members cleaning and picking up constantly. To a person, they all smiled and said hello. The comedians were hilarious and the bar crew there was also great. The Lido buffet in the morning had great options. The Guy’s Burger joint is a favorite, too. I took advantage of the gym several times and particularly enjoyed the free stretching class in the morning. The Celebration and Mardi Gras are our favorites for all of these reasons and more. Highly recommend.

Full fun service
Me, my whole family, and my nephews and nieces all had a great time and memories that will last a lifetime, not only were the beaches, fantastic and family, friendly, but they were as good as something you would see in a movie or on a calendar, the nonstop entertainment, as well asthe service on the boat was top-notch our room service putra was extremely kind, courteous and friendly, and always put a smile on my face. She also loved the little animals who would make with the towels he went above and beyond to remember each, and one of our names definitely give him a raise as well as every service member on that boat even the cleaners, they work extremely hard compared to us Americans also our waiters Nyoman, Aryadana, The dining experience was five star along with their attention that they gave us and kind personalities that were very genuine. We still talk about these three names to this day because of the lasting memory they put on our hearts and their incredible dance moves. They made the experience on the carnival cruise that much better.
