Overall good experience
We had a great experience on Allure of the Seas. We really liked the big ship with all of its activities. The cabin service was impeccable, and the entire staff were super friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. I feel that the food on the Allure OTS was quite excellent in the dining room, as was the service. We greatly enjoyed the Central Park with its beautiful trees, flowers, and shrubbery. It really was a great idea to come up with a place that could make people feel as if they were on land when they were really in the ocean somewhere. RC really has the embarkation and disembarkation down to a very smooth process. Upon arrival, we made our way quickly through check-in and screening and on to lunch in the Windjammer. As for eating breakfast and lunch, we liked eating at the Solarium. It was a smaller setting than the Windjammer, thus more comfortable and less hectic than the Windjammer. The bus service to the port entrance in Civitavecchia was free and right outside of the terminal building on the day of our arrival there. Disembarkation was very easy and smooth. We left our suitcase out to be picked up the night before our disembarkation and we didn't have to take it downstairs in the morning. We picked up our bags in the terminal where everything was well organized by number and walked out to pick up the RC shuttle bus to the airport. While we liked most aspects of the cruise, we didn't like the extremely loud music of the shows. I mentioned that in my post-cruise review from RC. Even while wearing noise cancelling headphones, it was difficult for me to sit through the shows. I left one show after just one song. I also hate it that after paying $18.50 per day per guest for tips, we are offered tip envelopes towards the end of the cruise. I also would have liked it better if parents controlled their kids so that they weren't running all over the ship like a bunch of wild animals.

Best ship I have ever been on! A perfect week!
I have cruised a variety of ships, more than 10 cruises. This was a remarkable ship and a perfect week! The ship was spotless, the best cabin attendant I've had. We had 4 in a cabin with an ocean balcony. He tended to our room twice a day to make up and take down beds. We ate in many venues. Loved The Mason Jar! We were 3 generations. Everyone was absolutely thrilled with the activities, arcade, pools, shops, beverage packages, photo opportunities, shows excursions-every day (2 were 10 hours long). One day at sea and some afternoons, plenty of wonderful places to sit quietly with a drink and a book. I loved Central Park with the flowers, sounds of birds, very little foot traffic. Lots of people on the ship, but didn't feel like it. We waited for an elevator twice(after an excursion and after a show). Spain, France, Italy, wonderful excursion choices. Between the four of us, I don't think there was an area of the ship we did not visit. All of us agreed, this was the best ship we have ever been on! What a week!

Brilliant holiday experience
I cruised with my husband and 10 yr old son. We were first time cruisers so didn’t know what to expect but were not disappointed at all. The ocean view balcony room was a good size for us. We were deck 10 which was a good middle point for everything. The facilities on board were top notch and millions to do for everyone. We barely scratched the surface of these. My son is v active so loads for him to do! I’ve read mixed reviews re MDR and customer service & I feel compelled to even the field by posting a glowing review for both our dining staff (Jing & Brian) and room attendant (Gde). Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. They were all lovely, kind humans who bent over backwards to make us all, and my son in particular, comfortable. From favourite drinks being brought to our table upon sight of us arriving in the dining room to meals amended to make sure everything suited my son. Taking the time to make sure everything was 10 out of 10 always. Likewise for our room attendant. He often had a surprise left for my son which delighted him and he and always had time for a chat. All are a credit to their families and the company and 100% are right up there on the list of things we enjoyed most about our trip. They definitely made our holiday.
