Carnival Magic

We knew exactly what we were doing when we named this ship Carnival Magic... and we're sure you'll agree.
At 1,004 feet, this one continued the Dream class tradition of large-scale, bow-to-stern cruise ship fun including the food-and-entertainment space Ocean Plaza, the splashy stylings of Carnival WaterWorks™... and The Lanai, a convenient, scenic half-mile outdoor wraparound promenade deck. In other words, a cruise on Carnival Magic has no shortage of its namesake charm!
It's no surprise Carnival Magic debuted all-new ways to have a good time onboard, and continues to prove it with the outdoor fitness-and-fun of SportSquare™, featuring the world's first ropes course at sea. This is also the ship that introduced the world to Cucina del Capitano®, which serves up Italian favorites fit for a captain. Who can forget their first taste of RedFrog Pub®, with its laid back, not-a-worry-to-be-found atmosphere... plus its exclusive, tasty, not-a-drop-to-be-found (on land, that is) beer, ThirstyFrog® Red. And if you wanted to visit the original Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse™... guess which ship you'd check out!
Keeping with the times, Carnival Magic features the delicious good times of Guy's Burger Joint™, BlueIguana Cantina™, Alchemy Bar® and RedFrog Rum Bar®.
Carnival Magic has a history of starting good things... and sharing them with guests.

The Punchliner Comedy Club™
Comedy clubs on land… well, it’s kinda funny. Nobody likes paying cover charges, and you know that two-drink minimum? They’ve gotta be joking! You won’t find either of these at The Punchliner Comedy Club™ aboard your Carnival cruise. Up on stage you will find some real pros who know how to wedge a little laughter into anyone’s evening. You can count on these comedians to not hold back either. Since some of them get up and say exactly what’s on their mind, we also schedule family-friendly performances… so the only red faces in the audience are from laughing a little too hard.
Tip: We’ll say it again — The Punchliner Comedy Club features some shows that are family-friendly and some adult-only. You can choose which ones you attend! To help plan your evening, check the Fun Times — it’s delivered daily to your stateroom.

Cherry On Top™
A cruise is the perfect time to treat yourself to something sweet, and Cherry On Top™ happens to be the perfect place. You'll find this well-stocked candy-and-more-store not only great for enjoying some of your confectionery favourites, but the place to pick up food and apparel gifts for that special someone, even if — admit it — that someone happens to be you!
Scream for the cool stuff? Visit the ice cream counter at the Cherry On Top shops aboard Carnival Vista® and Carnival Horizon® for a signature ice cream creation, or build your own with tons of mix-ins and topping options. And if you get the urge to eat ice cream with your hands, we won’t judge… we’ll just suggest one of our all-new ice cream cookie sandwiches. We’ll build you one by hand, and stuff it full of whatever ice cream and toppings you scream for.
Dining Options

Dining Room
“Hey, which side does the fork go on?” is a question you’ll never have to ask at a dining room dinner aboard a Carnival cruise… we set the table for you. We also bring to the table a full three courses in an experience that’s filling, but never stuffy — after all, you’re just as likely to catch waiters table-dancing as you are to order dessert. Dessert’s included (along with the rest of your meal, by the way) in your fare. But don’t skip straight to dessert, because the main course is the main attraction — drop in daily and enjoy a rotating menu of delectable favourites like steak, roasted duck, scallops and prime rib.
Tip: When you book, choose Early Dining or Late Dining for reserved seating nightly, or go with Your Time Dining to chow whenever the clock strikes “hungry.”
STEAKHOUSE SELECTIONS
Whoever said you can’t always get what you want certainly never said it on a Carnival cruise. Odds are that something from our steakhouse sounds good — filet mignon, New York Strip, lobster or surf & turf — and you know what? Now you can get these signature steakhouse dishes on your plate anytime you’re enjoying dinner in our lively main dining room. Whether you’re with friends, have the kids in tow or are just in the mood for something different in a familiar setting, you’ll find great options on your dining room menu.
DINING ROOM BREAKFAST
If looking forward to the whole day of fun that’s ahead isn’t enough to make an early riser out of you, we have something else that’s sure to do the trick. Join us for breakfast in the main dining room and sit down to the kind of menu that might make you want to start things off a little slow. Order up some eggs any way you like them… even benedict- or omelet-style with your choice of filling. Get pancakes, waffles or french toast hot off the griddle — each comes with a surprising and delicious flavour twist like vanilla, pecan or salted caramel. There’s breakfast standards like oatmeal, granola and a generous selection of fresh fruits and cereals. Add crispy bacon, awesome sausage — which is actually the only kind — or ham to any dish… or go for more of a curated flavour with a selection of breakfast entrees, including some lighter choices.
If you’re thinking that’s all nice, but who has time for all this… you do! The very first item on the menu is a plate that kicks your day off with an express selection of all the classics.

Steakhouse
Turn your special vacation in the direction of delicious — book a table for an unforgettably delectable evening at the onboard Steakhouse. Our menu features mouthwatering premium cuts of beef cooked to your exact specifications, as well as a fantastic selection of seafood, entrées, gourmet appetisers... and even a wine list that got the nod from Wine Spectator. (They actually call it the Award of Excellence.) The Steakhouse’s atmosphere pairs remarkably well with, and perhaps even enhances, the culinary creations of our gourmet chefs.
Tip: Like any destination restaurant, reservations are highly recommended, and can be made online after booking your cruise. Your meal includes an appetiser, salad, entrée, side, and dessert.

Carnival Magic
It exceeded our expectations. The Carnival Magic does need alot of work but crew and casino was stellar. We loved the dinner service and the food was great for dinner and the sandwich ciunter for lunch hit the spot. Our cabin was clean and Asti our cabi. Attendant was super. No issues at all during our trip. Asti really took care of us and our needs. Breakfast on the Lido deck was nothing special and a bit bland. I qould have liked there to be a few more exotic chioces for breakfast. I enjoyed the Cajun crab resaurant and the Crab was sweet and prepared just right. Friendly and price was great! Casino was awesome. I went to the casino each day and several times each day. Nice winnings and great atmosphere. I would definetely recommend Carnival Cruise lines. We cannot wait to set sail again. Celebration Key was great. I did not think the food was that great but you cannot expect everything to be perfect.

Magic Fun but beware
First thing was the crew was fantastic. They were polite and always asking if everything was good. Embarkation and disembarkation where as expected and went smoothly. The cabin on the first floor was better than we expected. It had the normal bathroom and also a second tub and sink room so we coould each have our own toiletry and showering area. The buffet was not very impressive and we chose to not eat there except for the last day when they had East Indian dishes. We found them to be very good and spiced well. We took in the Chef's Table in the galley for my birthday dinner and it was fantastic. The food, staff and company was perfect. We ate in the Siuthern Lights dining room and with the exception of the first night found it good. We had five couples and a solo traveler the first night at the table and moved the second night along with another couple due to the rudeness of the solo traveler. Our second table we met three couples and had a wonderful time each night. Our only issue is that they did not enforce any type of dress code and allowed some in swimsuits to eat dinner in the dining area. The entertainment was average at best and the theatrical shows were not great. The piano bar singer was fun but unfortunately was not that good of a singer. The band that played by the Alchemy Bar was so loud that you could not hold a converation and many left the area to seek out a quieter venue. Lastly, this ship is overdue for drydock. It is fairly rough shape that included a leak in the atrium that caused chais to get wet and not useable. Overall we enjoyed the cruise and after the Magic gets out of drydock we might try it again.

THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL VACATION ON THE MAGIC
Lets start off with embarkment- it was fast and easy. We waited in line for 5 minutes ( we were early), went thur the ck bag and entered the walk to the second floor. Upon reaching the second floor we were told to wait, we sat down on the chairs and then it was time to do the walk, the greetings from the crew were so welcoming. ck in to mustard and now the fun begins. We hit guys (great) food, we then went to the cabin to put away our luggage. great cove balcony room(usually on spa floor balcony) but the cabin was big and the balcony was very private. We hit the sail away party which as always is fun to watch and dance with. got a message on my second drink that the casino was open and off we went. it was a little small for me but worked, after about 2 hours we had reservations at the steak house and the food was well worth the price. Steak and lobster was a great start to our first day of the vacation. we found our cabin stewart to be more then welcoming. we needed more towels (two ladies) with out a problem he got them, we needed ice for the wine, we needed a bed pillow and with out a question provided us the best customer service for the 7 days. Our bartender in the casino was wonderful, came over to us, at least every hour to ck on any more refills were needed. we did the reserved dinning so every night we had the same waiter for dinner and he knew our names and addressed us, asking questions if we enjoyed our day or night so far and if there was anything further he could of done. Mixing up the menu was his speciality(we drove him crazy). the bartender for the dinning room was on spot. he came everynight with a new mix, shots, ect and always asked if we wanted to try something new. we have nothing but praise for the magic crew . They were wonderful. We did have a small incident and told customer service and the next day it was resolved via phone call to our cabin. Our ports of call were a mix of good and not so good. we love nassas, we stayed in port and shopped and ate, our port of call to amber cove was so unexpected, it was beautiful and the port offered everything we wanted , i would go back there again and again. now we did not care for turks. we found it not to our likings. we did do a golf cart and seen the donkeys but the money they charged us for the hour and a half, i could not wait to get back on the ship. the island is very dry and dusty and with few amenitics we agreed it was not for us. a tee shirt back in port at margartaville was $55.00. it seemed very overprice and other products as well. this to me is not a welcoming port but that is my opinion. getting back to the ship, our 7 days was filled with good entertainment, people watching, casinoning and a great staff. i noticed a good amount of families, the kids were always on the slides and at night the movies were watched by all with blankets handed out by carnival. when it was time to go, you always say you will be back and we do. we come back every 6 months for the 7 or 8 days cruise and we know what we are getting so there are no surprises and if there are we hope it was for the best, if not, we contact customer relations on the boat and for some reason it is fixed and gone.
