Great trip, outstanding service
There were seven in our group. We used the Princess shuttle to and from ship and airport. We flew in the day before and took a hotel shuttle from the airport. The morning of the cruise, we took the (free) hotel shuttle back to the airport. If it had only been two or four we probably would have used Uber or a cab. Embarkation was a breeze. When we boarded the shuttle from the airport, they checked our luggage so we didn't see it again until it was delivered to our cabin. We first had drinks and a sandwich, which were excellent. No problem getting a table in the International Cafe a bit after 11. Cabins were ready around noon. Our standard balcony cabin was nice, mid-aft. Everything was spotless. Even though its an older ship, things have been well cared for. Our cabin attendant appeared shortly after we got to the cabin. He remained attentive throughout the cruise and did an outstanding job. We had early dining. Our group of 7 was in traditional dining so had the same waiters throughout the cruise. Their service was like stepping back in time 25 years. Very attentive and really paid attention to details. I cant say enough good about our waiter. Entertainment was very good. Three production shows, all different from what we saw six months ago on the Regal. Other entertainment was good as well. There was only one we didnt care for (an 80s screamer), but that is due to our taste. We went to a few games and trivia. Much of it dealt with 80s themes, and the younger people seemed to love it. It was fun to watch. Ports were good: Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, San Pedro (LA), and Victoria BC. We did Princess excursions and they were all good. It was a nice mix of ports and sea days. There were some children on board, but they were very well behaved. In fact it was adults who cut in line, jumped ahead getting off buses, etc. Different culture than ours. I miss some of the old things like great lecture series that I'm sure cost too much now. But we never lacked for something to do. The service on this ship was the thing that really stood out. Many crew members seemed a bit older and this is their career, not just a temporary job. We would happily sail on Coral again.

Coral Princess : new favorite ship
This is my new favorite ship! Yes I always said I preferred Discovery Princess or Enchanted Princess but it seems like they tried to make a bigger version of this ship when they made Sun Princess. It just works. Universal Lounge was an incredible place to watch On the Bayou. Nothing is better than dinner & a show at the same time. The staff are so welcoming and relaxed. None of the rushed feeling with the larger ships. The galley tour was REAL. I saw crew making the food we were being served an hour later. Plus the chocolate piece of candy at the end was a nice tasty addition. Ok. Those decorated cakes. You know how I always say they are dry? Well they weren't. The frosting also wasn't so sweet that it was like biting into pure sugar. Like hard ice cream. Yep. Thats after dinner in the buffet even for standard fare cruisers. I will definitely return to the Coral

Educational days thru the Panama Canal.
The friendliest crew ever. Every crew member from Captain to the cleaning help were smiling and greeted every one and were so helpful to find areas on the ship. The medallions were the best tool ever. It opened doors, helped to find your shipmates, whether they were somewhere on the ship and located them not only to the deck they were on but to their exact position. The entertainment in the atrium was great. Some classical, (2 female violinists) some country, and lots of interaction with the top crew members with fun and entertaining games with willing passengers. The buffet was different every day. A favorite for breakfast and lunch. We had early seating in the dining room and that was varied every evening and many choices for starters, main courses and dessert. There were many specialty restaurants, but we never did go as there were plenty of good choices in the main dining room. We only ate breakfast twice in the main dining room as we loved the variety of fruits in/on the buffet. It is an older ship but our steward was able to correct small issues that needed attention, and very quickly. If I had one small negative, for me, was that the people on board were the older set and several nights it was way too loud and of the Mo Town variety. Great for tje 30-50 set. But noticed lots of older folks walked out . Most of the evening shows were great. All of the entertainment had great singers but not my type of music for the older folks that this 16 day cruise catered to.
