An immersive, authentic dining experience offering the finest Pan-Asian cuisine.
Named after the cherry blossom - the national flower of Japan - and symbolic of renewal and optimism, Sakura offers Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Malaysian flavours for a taste of Pan-Asian cuisine that is both authentic and energising.
The space takes inspiration from Japan’s rich cultural heritage of tradition and rituals blended with distinct Japanese design cues, to create an intimate and welcoming space. The ancient tea rooms of Kyoto provide the inspiration for Sakura, where dark wood frames lead your eye to traditional Japanese ceiling details, adorned with a cherry blossom tree canopy which shrouds diners with a warm atmosphere of festoon lights.
Authenticity extends to the kitchen, where chefs follow traditional techniques – using only the very best carefully sourced ingredients – to ensure a truly pan-Asian experience.
Expansive ocean views, a Sake sommelier, Asian-influenced beverages - including a curated selection of sakes and shōchū - combined with seamless service and modern Asian music create a dynamic dining experience.

This cruise was awesome! The ship was very nice considering it is an older one. It has been well cared for. The size of the ship was perfect. Navigation was easy to figure out. We never had to wait long for elevators. The crew was outstanding. Mike, the cruise director, was very personable. All the shows were great. Guests can participate in some of the shows if desired. The food was great! We had no complaints about the food. We ate in the main dining room most nights. The service was excellent. We did not try any of the specialty restaurants, but I am sure they are amazing. The main pool area did get crowded early. Of course, there were the usual chair hoarders. We used the solarium pool and hot tubs the most. Embarkation and debarkation were very easy and organized. We had premier so we sat in the Tuscan Lounge until it was time for us to leave the ship. We had an inside cabin and found it suitable to our needs. It was clean and had plenty of room for the two of us.

Our first Celebrity cruise
We are first time Celebrity passengers (coming over fron NCL) and were a bit worried after reading reviews that this is an 'older ship' Our experience was that this is a lovely ship with excellent service and very good food. The boarding process was very smooth. The debarkation process was equally smooth. Buffet was way above average, MDR staff are well trained, bars were all well staffed. Nice selection of non-alcoholic beverages. We were very surprised that non of the dining venues offed ADA seating. There were many scooter users and lots of folks with canes. We asked a dining room supervisor at both break fast and dinner if they ADA seating was available and both said "Sorry, no" The Galley-to-Table tour was less than perfect because two of the Galley guides were not proficient enough in English to be understood. Main theatre shows were top notch, great sight lines and excellent sound

Northern European City Cruise
Lovely ship and we booked a conservatory mini suite on deck 9. Do NOT book one on deck 8 as everybody walks past and looks in your balcony and rooms. Food great and only real gripe is that you have to book Headliners theatre via app. Always shown as fully booked but never was in practice. Passengers mostly ignored the MDR booking app and turned up in mostly couples regardless. When will P&O learn it is not popular with their loyal customers ? Entertainment was good apart from 6 in a quiz team rule. Most think it should be 4 and I have complained about this before. Excursions were great and we had booked in advance for each day. Destinations Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Hamburg and Bruges. English spoken everywhere. We had priority booking for the first time and that was quite fast. Great cruise all in and was a repeat of 2022 identical cruise. No big names on board and never saw any officers around the ship. Loved walking the promenade deck especially when windy.
