Amazing cruise and top service
We recently came back from an MSC cruise and can not be more happier. Everything from the very beginning, including the shuttle, was spot on. The room was spacious, very clean and had a lovely balcony. Food in a dining room has an enormous choice for everyone, including vegetarians. Cakes! delicious. We had a restaurant package included in our cruise. It was brilliant. Wonderful service by amazing staff. Beautiful, friendly atmosphere, felt like we knew them all our lives. The ship was kept incredibly clean, and any rubbish was removed immediately. The shows were supperb. Like watching Royal Variety every night. Artists are so talented. The captain and his leading team came on a stage, which was very nice to see them all and to say thank you. Daily and evening entertainment was never-ending and amazing. We were moving from one restaurant to another just to join a new party and to dance. I really don't know what went wrong with other people's experience who put one star, because we can not fault a thing. Photographers were amazing. I bought an early digital package and received 60 amazing images. Wish I had taken pictures every day and with every photographer, but it seemed like too much, but it would be well worth it. Even flying back when our flight was cancelled due to the bad weather, MSC customers were provided with food, a shuttle to the hotel and back to the airport the next day. As far as I know, other people, not MSC had to wait for 3 days till the next flight. So, I can not fault it at all. Well done MSC. Highly recommend.

The beauty and the essence of “a different concept"
During 4 months, we felt the beauty and the essence of “a different concept” then a Classic Cruise. It was better then our expectations. Communication between the departments for instructing guests could be precise and quick. Included excursions were total DAY lost for most of the cities visited. Sold excursion prices and itineraries could be balanced. Main Restaurant menu was rich and different every night plus special foods/dishes of the visited regions, countries were served during the lunch, dinner and buffets. Sea food, pasta, pizza, Italian cuisine, fruits, cheese, wine were good, excellent and plenty. Better beef meat should be procured and served. Automatic coffee machines and real Italian ice cream could be served. The entertainment was the best we had seen since today. Classic music orchestra, Opera stars, Musical Singers, Dancers, Acrobats, Café Orchestras (Latino, rock, jazz, country etc). There were plenty of daily sports, dance academies, hand crafting workshops, music instrument, language courses etc.

Nice ship with good lay-out
I always read negative comments. And yes those are peoples experiences, but not mine. It was my second time sailing with MSC. I previously sailed on the flagship (in the time of writing this) the World Europa. And later the Odyssey of the Seas of RCI. So I know what I can expect from a cruise. The Magnifica is a nice ship. Not the biggest but also not small. A easy to figure out lay-out. Nice pools. Nice bars (lots of them). Very friendly staff. The decor is (of cours) from more then 10 years ago, but that is okay! Buffet on pictures looked outdated, but in reality is suites it well. We experienced both MDR restaurants. And both nice decor and staff. Food is okay. Kinda like all regular cruise lines. Sometimes cold. There was just one thing I didn't finish because it was cold on the inside, but most things were just fine! The drinks were great! We had the easy package because we were just 4 days onboard. And we didn't miss anything because of it. You just tell what you want, and don't mention a brand name. Sometimes if you get a 'rum and coke' it is served with Bacardi. And sometimes with off-brand rum. And I don't mind. As long as I don't have to pay more haha. In general a great ship! We embarked in Valencia. And disembarked in Civitavecchia.
