It was a fantastic cruise
We stayed at the Intercontinental in Tahiti and took the Regent transfer to the ship. It went well until we got to port and the first bus broke down so the other buses were stuck behind it, but people helped each other get up to the checkin, and we got to checkin which was very speedy. We had a great cruise on the Voyager. The staff was just great and did not know the word "no". The service at "crowded" events like trivia, large numbers of people getting to the Compass Rose at the same time, breakfast before a lot of excursions were handled very well by the crew. The food was very good and a nice variety. We can't stay up late enough for the entertainment in the theater, but we did enjoy the entertainment in the bars, wished the one outside Compass Rose started a little earlier. I don't know percentages, but there were quite a number of people our age or older, yet there are several types of chairs, divans etc that are very difficult for my husband to get out of, so we always looked real careful at the seat before he got down. I am sure we were not the only ones with this issue. Disembarkation was pretty smooth. The only downside was the internet. We could not consistently get a connection and when we got one, it was iffy how long you would have it (even in the computer room) It did not matter if the ship was out to sea or in port, it was never a guarantee.

Unrivaled Luxury Experience at Sea.
Unrivaled onboard space in all staterooms. Such a welcome change especially just coming off a Celebrity ship where the wife and I had to negotiate who gets what drawers and coat hangers. Not so on Regents. The crew members Unrivaled Hospitality at Sea are the best, so accommodating to meet guests needs. Our cabin stewards, Jennie and Deepu, were always asking if we needed anything. Cruise Director Callie Smit has such a shiny personality maybe only outdone by his shoes. Captain “Stan”, Stanisla De Lacombe, so friendly and welcoming. He and crew making sure that we were safe, so reassuring. Notable events: Pool Deck Barbecue, ABBA Dance Party, Block Party, Afternoon Tea, Krew Kapers, excellent excursions and lecturers, oh yes and get your laundry done every day if you want. Recognizing the following: I Nyoman - smoothies every morning. Abraham - Compass Rose maitre d George - La Veranda maitre d I Gusti - Voyager Lounge Robert - Pool Bar

Exceptional Service, Great Food and Great Ports
Exceptional service, great food, great ports. Ship, despite being older, is in great shape. Suites are roomy with more than adequate space in bathroom and closet (though not as ideal as newer ships). Staff was excellent - friendly, responsive, anticipating needs, etc. This applies from cabin steward to restaurants to bars. Entertainment was mixed, with some headliners being great, some just ok. Production shows need to be updated more frequently. Itinerary was great. Though I had done several ports before, the South Pacific never fails to impress with its beauty. Shore excursions were generally quite good. Fitness center could be significantly improved with just a few minor changes. Didn't use the spa because the services are way overpriced (outside concession company). Restaurants performed well with regard to service, food selection/quality and presentation. Specialty restaurants are always a treat, including Sette Mari. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. We used our own air so no comment on that or transfers.
