Dining Options
The Restaurant
Before Seabourn, open-seating dining on a cruise ship was unheard of. Come when you like, with whom you please, and be seated as you wish. The room is beautiful, the cuisine is exquisite, and the service is simultaneously flawless, friendly and fun.
The Colonnade
Our more casual, indoor/outdoor alternative, features an open kitchen, lavish buffets or table service for breakfasts and lunch, and serves regionally themed, bistro-style dinners with table service nightly. At The Colonnade, special theme nights feature Chef Keller-influenced dinners that pay homage to his American childhood. His interpretations of classic comfort dishes, such as Clam Bake and BBQ Ribs will be served family-style on platters to complement the essence of sharing in a relaxed spirit of fun and togetherness. *Chef Thomas Keller influenced menu served family-style in The Colonnade are available for reservations once onboard.

10+ Cruises: 70s
Exceptional in every way
First time on seabourn, have done many cruises 50+, I must say I without a doubt the best I have been, couldn’t fault a thing from the exceptional service staff always couldn’t do enough for and always smiling to recognition of names, to the food in all areas was great including the buffet everything was so fresh and the signature dish nights were a standout, the suite attendants were always on hand and answered with every request and the ship layout was just so easy, the activities on sea days were sufficient to pass the time, the shows were the only thing really that could be better they were just the usual cruise offerings cabaret shows magicians comedians were just ok but nothing I’d go back to see, usually out of my price zone but if you can find the right cruise at a reasonable price I will definitely go again and would recommend to others

Classy, not stuffy
Excellent ship and service. High end without being fru- fru. Food was excellent as was the service. We were happy with the wine choices, but some of our travel companions wanted more California Chardonnay, and they had only a limited quantity. That was not a problem for us, though we were perfectly content with every choice they provided. Highly recommend and we will be traveling on Seaborn again. We never heard the word “no“. Anything anyone wanted was provided. The staff also gets to know you and what you your likes and dislikes are. The only thing I would have liked, would’ve been someone overseeing/supervising bridge games as those didn’t materialize as we might have liked. They also had very limited Diet Coke. Overseas it’s typically Coke zero. The Diet Coke they had was fortified with fiber! That’s apparently a product of Japan. It still tasted like Coke zero which is not my thing. Not a huge problem in the general scheme of things though. Wonderful trip and we will be traveling Seaborn again

Blissful Passage!
This was technically a repositioning, but the time spent in Japan was great (although it was a late cherry bloom due to cold spring) even though we didn't get to see cherry trees at their height of bloom. But, nonetheless, it whet our appetite to return. Then a long passage east to Honolulu. Three days there and Kauai and then another 6 sixs to Long Beach. We enjoy the sea days because Encore is a great ship and the conversationalists and activities made them fun and never boring. It was a "Seabourn" experience of friends, treats, fantastic entertainment and fine dining -- all inclusive! We did have an extra day in Yokohama to repair a leaking shaft seal which made us miss Shimizu, but we will come back again! The Seabourn crew is the best -- and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience! Oh, and Captain Andrew Pedder, and CD Joe Altamira were tops! It was the first time we have had a bridge tour while at sea! We highly recommend the itinerary and will return to Japan for a longer immersion. Thank you Captain Pedder and the Seabourn Encore fabulous crew!
