Some Problems - Great Cruise
Just out of dry dock. Ship is beautiful. Crown Grille and Makoto Ocean won't be completed until November 16, 2025. Workers still onboard when we sailed. They slammed doors and spoke loudly in our hallway outside our cabin every morning at 7:00am. A couple messages on Crew Chat and it was better after day four. A/C not working properly the entire cruise. On day it quit all together. Toilet had problems with the vacuum system at first. After two plumbers the vacuum problem was corrected, but it would not fill with water. The third plumber finally fixed it the sixth day and said the first two plumbers didn't fix it right. The crew is fantastic as usual. Nelly the Hotel Manager listened to our concerns at the PES Happy Hour and called somebody. We also went to guest services to document our concerns with them as the lady was very attentive and documented everything. We were very happy with the resolution and told them how much we appreciated their help. We experienced problems with Hurricane Raymond and we didn't stop in Mazatlan and we didn't get off in Puerto Vallarta, but we rolled with punches and made it one of our best cruises.

Wonderful smaller ship
Embarkation from Los Angeles was smooth and fast. My cabin was at the back of the ship, on deck 10. The staff were amazing. The food was wonderful. My air conditioning was not working immediately, but after telling my room steward, they worked diligently to get it working. It took half a day to fix, but it was well worth the wait. My only pet peeve, was the casino. It was packed by the afternoon. You could not get a slot machine, you liked to play on available easily. I decided to go in the morning. This only worked, if I did not have an excursion planned that day. Lots of fun activities to do all day long. All in all, the dry dock made the ship like new. A wonderful experience, met lots of lovely people. I would happily sail with the Sapphire Princess again in a heart beat.

Superior Glacier Experience
Although, this is an older ship, the overall cruise experience was excellent! Entertain was top knotch and the food was good with one exception. There is a lack of variety in the offerings in World Fresh Marketplace. It was nice to not be on a giant ship this time as there were less lines and more attention from staff. We had a lot of attention in the dining rooms and the staff was quick to react when we had a minor issue in our room. Having Park Rangers come aboard while we went through Glacier National Park was a brilliant idea. It was great to be able to ask them questions about the Park. The cruise was outstanding, but our land package after the cruise was even better. We stayed in three different Princess Lodges, Copper River, Denali and Mt. McKinley. This land package gave us a chance to see the real Alaska away from tourists areas.
