Carnival Freedom

Carnival Freedom has a message for you, and its "feel free to have fun!" Explore the ship and you'll find food options galore, starting with two dining rooms, but definitely extending outdoors — there's mouth-watering Guy Fieri burgers at Guy's Burger Joint™, plus the greatest tacos and burritos this side of the pier at BlueIguana Cantina™. For delicious, but quick and easy, selections from the sea, get your chopsticks around all the good stuff at Bonsai Sushi Express™.
For every great food spot, there's a great place to enjoy drinks, too, from the toe-tapping Scott's Piano Bar to the always-hoppin' 70's Nightclub. For the thirsty, libation hotspots include Alchemy Bar® and the place we all gather to raise very important toasts: Heroes Tribute™ Bar & Lounge. Everybody's favorite outdoor seaside bar is here... whether yours is the RedFrog Rum Bar® or BlueIguana Tequila Bar™. (Or hey, make it both!) The rum bar's older brother, RedFrog Pub®, features drinks, live music and traditional pub games. Topping off adult-time is Serenity — adult-only, of course — the retreat where total relaxation is not only encouraged, but pretty much required.
If you're a kid, Carnival Freedom means you're in for a treat. Not only will you find new friends at one of three youth spaces — like Camp Ocean® — but you can splash around with them in one of our many pools, speed down a waterslide at Carnival WaterWorks™, or once you dry off, challenge them to a round of mini-golf. Oh, and adults — don't get jealous; your inner kid gets to do all this stuff too!
Up on stage is Playlist Productions™, featuring songs you know... and dance moves you'll soon be using.
And for the cherry on top... it's actually called Cherry On Top™. It's the spot for something special, whether that something's a little something sweet — or simply a little something to sweeten a special occasion.

The Punchliner Comedy Club™
Comedy clubs on land… well, it’s kinda funny. Nobody likes paying cover charges, and you know that two-drink minimum? They’ve gotta be joking! You won’t find either of these at The Punchliner Comedy Club™ aboard your Carnival cruise. Up on stage you will find some real pros who know how to wedge a little laughter into anyone’s evening. You can count on these comedians to not hold back either. Since some of them get up and say exactly what’s on their mind, we also schedule family-friendly performances… so the only red faces in the audience are from laughing a little too hard.
Tip: We’ll say it again — The Punchliner Comedy Club features some shows that are family-friendly and some adult-only. You can choose which ones you attend! To help plan your evening, check the Fun Times — it’s delivered daily to your stateroom.

Atrium
Here’s where you come in! The Atrium — the entrance to the ship and to vacation itself — is your first impression of all the fun to come. We make sure that this, the very heart of the ship, screams “welcome aboard the fun!” With multi-level panoramic views, the Atrium gives you the perfect place to enjoy all the hustle and bustle. There’s always music playing here, whether it’s a live band or a party-pumping DJ, plus enjoy events throughout the day or a drink at the bar, anytime. This 360-degree funspot is also home to the Guest Services desk, the place you go if you have questions for one of our certified fun experts… about just about anything that’s on your mind.
Dining Options

Guy's Burger Joint
We went looking for someone to help us grill up the best burgers at sea, and we found just the guy. Carnival has teamed up with best-selling author, restaurateur and Food Network personality Guy Fieri to bring all the authentic appeal of a roadside burger shack to Guy’s Burger Joint, the cool poolside spot for hot burgers and hand-cut fries. Try a fresh-off-the-grill burger Guy’s way, or take it off-road to our toppings bar and truly make it your own.

BlueIguana Cantina™
Nobody knows Mexican dining like a blue iguana. Well, our blue iguana, at least. That’s why it should come as no surprise that the BlueIguana Cantina™ features freshly made tacos and burritos stuffed specially for your enjoyment. Throw our homemade tortillas and salsa into the mix, and you have a casual dining experience that will make you say “mmmm” (which is actually Iguanese for “more, please”).

Carnival freedom really positively surprised me!
I have cruised on a multitude of cruise ships and cruise lines over the last two decades. I found a wonderful diamond in the rough. Carnival freedom (yes, the one that had the whale tail burned many months ago) has been an extremely pleasurable experience. It’s not the newest or the shiny or the biggest, but it has something that many ships don’t have. An extremely helpful and courteous crew that made our cruise a pleasure. The food was some of the best we’ve ever had on a cruise ship, the weight staff was great, even the HELP DESK folks were wonderful. Don’t believe anything. Someone says that may be negative about the carnival freedom. I would definitely sell on her again. Her crew is the best the ship was clean, the entertainment was wonderful and the food was superb. I’ll even place it above the recent celebrity cruise that I’ve taken a big shout out to some of the folks working on the carnival freedom is in order. Of course, G, our steward, as well as our servers in the posh dining facility (Ricky, Hernan, and Princess), and Akelia Mcleod in customer service. Thank you all for restoring my enjoyment with carnival Cruise. I have never given any ship for it’s crew five stars, but I wholeheartedly give these folks five stars, and more if I could. Do yourself a favor and book this ship. From the captain down a great crew.

Great cruise, Carnival Freedom, 3 years in a row
Carnival gave us a great cruise. Weather, vibe, cruise. Had inside cabin on deck 10 forward, my go to area. Room much smaller then anticipated, will probably get balcony next time as before. Food, service, people, movies, music, pool dancing, pool, hot tub. Half moon Cay, Celebration key, outstanding destinations. Thank you Carnival. I have been on Carnival Freedom last 3 years, 2 in November (windy), this one in 2025 mid September. Much better weather. I recommend the Freedom, everything works. The elevators, plumbing, getting on and off ship is seamless. What I love about being on the Freedom, is the size of the ship, which holds approx 2500 passengers. Food areas never seem overwhelming. My son loves the Guy's burger joint. You don't get that on other cruise lines. My favorite is the celebration on the lido deck when leaving Port Canaveral (weather permitting). Can't wait to book my next Carnival Cruise.

Exceeded our expectations!
We were not disappointed with Carnival Freedom! Is the ship older?, yes, but they keep the ship well maintained. Cleanest as far as appearance and cleanest as far as employees cleaning up after us. Employees were friendly and accommodating. Buffet is a buffet, I never have high expectations being that they're feeding over 3,000 people who have different palates, diet restrictions and gold plate standards (stay home). Guys' Burger's was good, Blue Iguana was good, except I got chicken gristle one day and I'm very sensitive to that when chewing and had to throw it away, but that's my problem. Deli was good, had the ham and cheese. Nice to see they were using deli style bread instead of Wonder white bread like Carnival Elation did (read that review.) Pizza and Seafood Shack was yummy. BBQ joint was fantastic. Really Enjoyed it. I've had Pig and Anchor before, and I found no difference. Same food and sauces. Casino was fun, only crowded one night, but that is to be expected. Even though we're adults, we do enjoy some arcade time and Freedoms arcade was the largest we've seen in all the ships we've been on. Pools were nice and not overly crowded. Not many kids as I've seen before and they were well behaved. Adult only pool and hot tubs was very pleasant. A kid came over and stepped over the pool area threshold and was immediately corrected. Good job life guard! I will book Freedom again. FYI, the score Freedom has is one of the highest on Cruise Critic. That's why I chose this ship. Read between the lines on the negative reviews.
