Great get away

Yes the ship is on the older side but every area was kept clean by a very hard working crew. Junior suite was perfect location and plenty big. Food was OK but it seems this has been on the decline recent years. Even Johnny rockets was a disappointment, smaller portions and lack of presentation and taste. 10:15 ish, dumped our luggage on the way into the parking lot, parked and we had “the key” so no line,walked right into terminal,5 minutes to check in, sat for a bit in a designated area and on the ship by 11:15 ish. Note we had a 11:30 boarding time. Wine bar in the promenade was open so sat and had our first drink until lunch at 12:00. Being we had the key we had lunch in the dining room with a special chops menu. Yes it was quiet but the food was not good, not chops at all. The Bronzino was tiny and tasteless and the burger was just sad. One problem with this ship was the lack of spaces to sit and relax. The weather was cold and windy so sitting outside was only for the Younger children , the adult only pool was packed. We went to the hot in daily after breakfast then left by lunch when the crowds started. The promenade was packed, the bars packed and forget about the piano bar! You had to be there at least an hour before any event to secure a seat. For us,the don’t miss event was the guacamole making class at Sabor. Fun and the lunch was plentiful and amazing! We did room service for breakfast every day. This was nice, quiet and relaxing, just don’t get the scrambled eggs they must use powder dehydrated eggs to make them. We had table 937 for 6:45 dinner every night ….kudos to Helbert and Belinda they were awesome servers! Disembarkment was easy for us …. We had breakfast in the dining room as we had the key. Went back to our cabin finished packing our carry on and headed to deck 4(?) to check only to find a chaotic mess! We were very lucky to find a crew member to assist us. He said you have the key, follow me, and walked us to the front of the line. We walked off spotted our luggage as it separated in a special area for key holders. Wheeled to the car and off we were by 10:00 ish! All in all great trip….we have been cruising royal for years, this being our 10th RCI and 20th cruise. Cruising is not like it was 30 years ago but still our go to!

Great four days on Liberty of the Seas

I was part of a group of 200 for a Weight loss support nonprofit. Third cruise on either a Freedom or Voyager class ship. I was impressed with the quality of food and service. MDR Tappan and Jennilyn were great at spoiling us. We ate first night in Chops grill, the fillet was perfect as was dessert wait staff was great here as well as MDR. Johnny Rockets lunch burger and endless onion rings, once again great waitstaff the smiley face in catsup was a nice touch . Room was a little tight we were in the middle of deck 7 could not walk around the bed. Never stay in the room anyway so was not that big of a deal. Prefer the promenade view room on these classes of ship. Room steward kept it very clean and asked first day what time of day we preferred to have him clean the room. Always greeted us in the hallway. Ship did not really show it's age , windows always clean, maintenance was being done while in ports, never saw and elevator out of service but they were busy. Would cruise on Liberty again possibly around thanksgiving.

A Good Time for All

Food and entertainment was very good. We ate at the main restaurant all 3 nights and the food and service was excellent. Manish and Joram took really good care of us. Calvin and his crew were also good at Johnny Rockets. The magician, Jadel, at breakfast had us all laughing. We went on an excursion to a private island which was nice where they also fed us lunch. Coco Cay island was nice and there was plenty of food for everyone. We were a party of eight that all agreed that this was a fun time. There were plenty of stores on the boat to buy whatever you needed from alcohol to clothes to toiletries. The boat was clean and the buffet area had plenty of sanitizer to go around. We did Karaoke, Bingo and swam in the outdoor pool. The band at the pool was very entertaining and enjoyed by all.
