MENU HIGHLIGHTS
Many of the dishes on the Main Dining Room’s menu rotate each night, which means you could go an entire week without ever repeating a course. Every meal here begins with something delicious from the starters section of the menu — like savoury duck terrine layered with apricot chutney on toasted sourdough bread, a flaky Vidalia onion tart baked with whipped eggs, cream, and smoked bacon, or spiced eggplant and Kalamata olive tartare prepared with red pepper hummus and served on crispy garlic bread. Then, choose from international entrees like Moroccan spiced ahi tuna served over mint couscous, sautéed spinach and tequila peppers with a cool yogurt vinaigrette. Or mojo-marinated bone-in pork loin paired with sweet potatoes, broccoli and a cumin-citrus reduction. Dessert is also worth getting excited about, with options like sweet cream-soaked tres leches, home-style carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and a light and fluffy Grand Marnier soufflé.
NOTE
Food offerings may differ by ship and sailing.
PRO TIP
The food in the Main Dining Room is complimentary, and you can order as many courses as you like.

Chops Grille℠
CLASSIC AMERICAN STEAKHOUSE
For more than a decade, the chefs at Chops Grille have specialised in serving up quality, hand-cut meat. Dinner at this hallmark Royal Caribbean specialty restaurant goes far beyond the typical steakhouse experience, though, with reimagined classics like succulent Maine lobster, gruyere cheese tater tots, white truffle-scented mushroom soup, and of course, expertly prepared prime beef.

INSIDER TIP
Open for lunch on sea days only.
MENU HIGHLIGHTS
The best way to begin a meal at Chops Grille is with the charred beef carpaccio, sliced thin and served rare with fresh arugula, Parmesan cheese, and truffle mustard dressing. If you’re a seafood lover, upgrade your menu with one of the restaurant’s chilled seafood towers — each comes with jumbo shrimp, green-lipped mussels, clams, Jonah crab claws, and Maine lobster. As far as entrees go, the tender filet is one of the most popular items on the menu. If nine ounces is a bit too much for you, opt for the smaller 6-ounce petite filet — it packs in just as much flavor as the standard cut. If you’re a traditionalist, complement your meal with an order of steaming Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, or change things up with Chops’ signature gruyere cheese tater tots and truffled French fries. And don’t forget to save room for a refreshing slice of tart key lime meringue pie or classic New York cheesecake, served with raspberries and lemon confit.
PRO TIP
The chefs at Chops Grille will hand cut, season, and grill each steak to your specifications. When in doubt, don’t be afraid to ask for the chef’s recommendation.

Stellar Experience!!
I recently embarked on a cruise with Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas with a group of 10 including my 4yr old as well my niece 2yrs old, and I cannot say enough about how exceptional the experience was. From start to finish, the voyage exceeded my expectations in every possible way. This was my first cruise, and it certainly set a high bar for future adventures at sea. Impeccable Cleanliness and Housekeeping The housekeeping team was superb throughout the journey. Each stateroom was kept immaculate, and the daily service consistently went above and beyond. The overall cleanliness of the entire ship was perfect. Common areas, dining venues, and entertainment spaces were maintained to an exemplary standard, ensuring a fresh and comfortable environment at all times. Culinary Excellence The food aboard Freedom of the Seas was delicious across the board. There was a remarkable variety, with options to suit every palate. From elegant dining experiences to casual fare, the culinary team delivered consistently high-quality dishes, creative menus, and generous portions. For food lovers, this itinerary offered an outstanding breadth of choices, making every meal something to look forward to. Outstanding Staff The crew and staff were hands down the absolute best. Their warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism made a tangible difference in the overall experience. Service was prompt, courteous, and personalized—truly a hallmark of Royal Caribbean’s hospitality. The crew’s enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile enhanced every moment of the voyage, from embarkation to debarkation. First-Time Cruise, Unforgettable Impression As a first-time cruiser, I was especially apprehensive, but the entire process—from check-in to disembarkation—was smooth and seamless. The ship’s design, activities, and excursions provided a balanced mix of relaxation and excitement, making it easy to find something enjoyable every day. Based on this incredible introduction to cruising, I will definitely return to Royal Caribbean for my next voyage. Verdict If you’re contemplating your first cruise or seeking a top-tier experience at sea, Freedom of the Seas delivers. Impeccable cleanliness, superb housekeeping, delectable cuisine, and a staff that treats guests like family—combined with a memorable itinerary and impeccable service, it’s a standout choice. Perfect Day at CoCoCay We had a wonderful time at CoCoCay—a true island paradise. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed, with crystal-clear water that was perfect for swimming and exploring. Food was amazing—delicious options that stayed fresh and flavorful throughout the day, making every meal a treat. The water was pristine and inviting, ideal for a family day in the sun. Our kids absolutely loved the water slides, and the activities were engaging enough to keep our 4- and 2-year-olds entertained throughout. Overall, a flawless stop that left us with lasting memories. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a pristine, fun-filled island day. Would I recommend this voyage? Absolutely. I’m already planning my next Royal Caribbean adventure and hope to sail with Freedom of the Seas again soon.

Affordable -Something to do for everyone
This was my first cruise, and I travelled with Royal Caribbean on the Freedom of the Seas. I went as a "bachelor's party" with my friends. This cruise was very affordable ($470 per person w/o drink package, $850 with drink package). I will first start out by stating how amazing the cruise staff were. You could go up to any cruise staff member (bartender, dealer at Casino, dining staff, etc.) and they would make sure your question or issue was addressed promptly. We stayed in the interior cabin to make the trip more affordable. Yes, the room was small, but for 3 dudes, we didn't mind it at all. I also did not get sea sick. The way I see it, I wanted the cheapest room because there is so much to do on the ship, and the only thing I did in the cabin was sleep. We spent A LOT of time in the casino, to the point where I knew all the dealers names and all the bartenders names (lol). The casino is fun, and the dealers and bartenders are kind and want the best for you. Now to the dining. I LOVED the food. If you get a chance, do the "Chef's Table." It is a bit extra, but you won't regret it. There are several food options and you will surely find something you will like, whether you go to the buffet, or to the main dining room (more formal). To the drink package. If you plan on drinking 6 or more drinks each day, the drink package is absoltuely worth it. The bartenders are excellent and the drinks are amazing. Finally, the destinations. We went to Turks and Caicos and to Cococay. I loved it all (Cococay is owned by Royal Caribbean, so most items are free. If you plan on going on any excursions or getting the drink package, I would order/buy them BEFORE the cruise. The price difference will save you a great deal of money. I would buy the drink package 1-2 weeks before the cruise. I bought the package 2 weeks before, and within a week, it dropped $50 per person. If you wait till at the ship to buy the package, you will spend nearly double what you would have pre-cruise. There is so much to do on this ship for all ages. Even though there was a lot of kids, I never felt like the kids were a bother. Everyone did their own thing. I recommend this ship to all those who want to cruise. Affordability and friendliness of the staff were among my favorite things about this ship. I really don't have any complaints about the ship. I like to recognize good customer service, so I wanted to write this review. I am already thinking about my next cruise. Thank you Royal Caribbean!

Better than oasis-class!
I was really worried that an older, smaller ship would be worse than the Allure trip I last took. Boy, was I wrong! Firstly, there are a few things that were longtime Royal staples that got left off of the Oasis class that really made the trip for me: the really nice, wide-open promenade decks; the viking crown lounge; the large Windjammer with **views**. More than that, the ship just really didn't feel crowded at all. Despite being at-capacity, I never had to wait for... pretty much anything? The ship holds its capacity really well, and even with almost half the number of elevators of the larger ships, was much easier/better to navigate than Allure. The only annoying thing about Freedom's design is the inability to pass through until deck 4. Staying on Deck 2, this meant going up, over, and down - but once you realized this, it's fine. In terms of service - it's typical royal, you can expect friendliness without being overbearing. I see a lot of people commenting on upselling lately, but I didn't experience this at all. I didn't do any specialty dining, but the MDR left nothing to be desired, even with an allergy - they were wonderful, and really had the time to chat and get to know you (which as a solo traveler, is always appreciated). I enjoyed the upgraded venues, like playmakers and the fancy Izumi. It was also cool to see some of the newest updates, like the non-smoking casino. To be honest, the only part where the ship falls down is the entertainment. Much of the stage-show entertainment hasn't been changed since the ship was introduced 19 years ago (when I was in elementary school) and it showed. The only show I have ever walked out of was on Freedom, and I wasn't the only one. That said, I enjoyed the programming much better - including the comedians, who were the best I've seen at sea. I would say this is the only area you really need to temper your expectations. This trip was great because it helped me to see what Royal "used to be" and helped me understand why the longtime loyal-to-royals have been decrying the newer ships. Enjoying trivia in the Schooner with actual windows, having space and time in the buffet to actually sit and relax, and heading up to the club at night for an evening seeing the waves pass by - all much better than you'll get on Utopia, Wonder, or anything much newer. Is it perfect? No. But is it better than Oasis (at a much lower price)? Absolutely! The only thing that is stopping me from immediately booking back on again is the fact that I want to keep trying new classes
