CONNIE IS AN OLD GIRL WITH A LOT OF CLASS!

My wife and I are experienced cruisers, however, this was the first on Celebrity and the first transatlantic. The ship is clearly dated, but it was clean. Our veranda cabin had more storage space than we needed. Our cabin attendant, Trinity, was the best we had ever experienced on past cruises. We departed from our normal routine when cruising and ate most of our meals in the Oceanview Cafe buffet...it was that good! Also, we wanted to finish early since we attended the 7PM show in the theater. Most of the shows were quite good...our two favorites being Triptonic and Robert Neary's salute to Neil Diamond. The activities were varied and we were never bored. I was always up very early in the morning since I like to get photos of the sunrise. I always enjoyed grabbing a croissant and cup of coffee and sitting on the aft deck just outside the Oceanview Cafe. We opted for an on ship excursion which gave us a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes. We visited several areas to include the galley, engineering, and bridge. I was very impressed by our Captain. Captain Vito (Vittorrio Cantu) who was present many times during the cruise. The excursion in Gibraltar was not good at all. My wife and I had to sit on a little bus directly over the wheel well which made it very uncomfortable. The excursion in Barcelona was rushed and required more walking than we realized. Embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze. Overall, the Celebrity Constellation deserve high marks, especially for its attentive, friendly crew.

Celebrity Retreat Was Excellent

I had read that the service in the Retreat area was good, but, the special treatment we got was beyond my expectations! I had cruised with Oceania in the past, and the treatment we got in the Retreat was every bit as good. Also, the food was fantastic. As good as Oceania? Not quite, but everything else was comparable, and the entertainment was better. My only real complaint is that the Sky Suite was a suite in name only. It would more accurately be called a premium room. Would I sail Celebrity again? Absolutely, but only in the Retreat. And I think I would upgrade and book a Celebrity Suite so that the cabin would be a true suite as advertised. Our waiter in the Retreat dining room, Hernando, was as good as any waiter I’ve had in a 5* restaurant. He was attentive and met our every need. Overall, my experience exceeded expectations

All in all the cruise and staff are outstanding!

The cruise directer is hardly visible. No announcement about the change of time or the white party. How many people read that stupid piece of paper in your room to learn about the time changes! Sometimes the little things matter alot! I went.to Qsine for a continental breakfast, only to find that i was one hour early. I then went to the Cafe al bacio and have a coffee while i waited. The quality of food at dinner is outstanding. I was going to book a meal at the steakhouse. But didnt want to miss a meal at the main dining room. The staff was super attentive. And ever repeated the spinach salad that loved so much the first day. I never get tired of the design of their ships. I must find out who designs these beautiful vessels!Still my favorite cruise line by far! My hat off to celebrity!
